I have been coming to this place since I bought my apartment nearby despite the fact that they are not very friendly. I like their quiche and their fruit pocket, as well as the fact that just like every other coffee shop in the neighborhood they never made a big deal about giving me warm milk for my drip coffee. I don’t drink coffee with cold milk or cream because it makes your coffee colder faster and it alters the flavor. No one ever makes a big deal about it when I explain, but today there was a new barista and he literally fought me verbally insisting that if I wanted warm milk that I had to pay for a coffee au lait which is much more expensive than a regular coffee. I walked out upset with a coffee and cream only to find out that my quiche was cold. Absolutely terrible morning experience that no one wants to go through on a beautiful Sunday morning. The food overall is good and fresh. There is no place to sit other than two tables outside. There is also no wifi. I would comeback for the food in the future after picking up my coffee somewhere else where they make my coffee just the way I like without...
Read moreTL;DR - Solid drip coffee, flaky beef patty, not too sweet BK blackout cake. Great little spot for coffee, savory baked good, pastries and cakes.
SERVICE: Very welcoming staff, they took the time to go over everything they had and even went into specific dietary items like 'these are vegan and those are gluten free', etc.
FOOD: I tried their beef patty, because they were out of their curry one. The patty was flaky, they warmed it up for me and it was still warm when I got back home (15 mins later).
They have plenty of freshly made baked goods and cakes, tried a slice of their BK blackout and I was shocked at how moist and not too sweet it was. If you get the ratio of chocolate frosting to cake bite, it's heavenly and velvety - perfectly paired w/a sip of their drip coffee.
ATMOSPHERE: Very welcoming vibes from the staff to the place itself. The decor makes you feel like you pulled up to a general store in a small town on a road trip.

Read moreGiving 3 stars for food because the coffee is actually terrible. But my main issue is the older white lady, the owners wife, being one of the rudest ladies I've come across in customer service in a while. Multiple people I know have stopped going to this place at all because of her alone. The extent of her bad attitude is not only forced upon the unsuspecting customers paying $6 for a coffee you have to sweeten beyond comprehension but the passive aggressiveness and condescension is also applied to the people that work there, too. What is the point of even going in if you can't treat people with basic respect and a bit of kindness? I have said good morning and have a nice day multiple times and have been met with silence and/or a frown basically telling me to just get out. It's no wonder this place is constantly hiring! I've seen some workers start off so cheerful and become a shell of themselves in this place. Also I feel like they heavily judge what we order...
