Columbus Cafe — Restaurant in New York

As the sign on the front says: Panini, Wraps, Toss Salad, Muffin, Bagels, FREE DELIVERY. Quaint little café that makes you feel like you're in "You've Got Mail"! If you're looking for a delicious deli sandwich, this is a great stop! 😋

There's Breakfast Specials, Lunch Specials, and a Coffee Bar. We went for our first night in Manhattan to grab a late, but quick bite to go get settled back in our hotel. For a fam of 4, we enjoyed sharing 2 deli sandwiches, 1 Halal Food (Lamb over Rice), and 1 tossed salad.

Nice guys, weird meats. I’ve tried this place a number of times, and the food is just plain weird. I had a breakfast sandwich with sausage, and the sausage tasted nothing like sausage. It was some odd meatlike substance. I also tried bacon, and the bacon was an odd flavor and also very fatty and not well cooked. Today I tried them a third time and ordered a salami and pepper jack cheese sandwich. The cheese and roll were fine, but the salami is some weird cross between salami and bologna. Avoid the BLT sandwich at all costs. Instead of using bacon, they use a strange piece of beef that resembles bacon but tastes nothing like it. It is definitely not bacon. Inedible! What a disappointment. They should have just informed me that they were out of bacon. Furthermore, I could potentially have an allergic reaction to whatever they decided to substitute it with.
