firstly, this place is stunning. when we walked in, it was so quiet in such an elegant way. the place was pretty full, but there was no loud blaring music which i appreciated. it felt like such an upscale and intimate dining experience *because* it was so quiet. the velvet seating was a nice touch, too. they’re soft and cushy, and they suck you in to a cozy, comfortable world as you get ready to indulge in the rich flavors awaiting you. we ordered a lot, and every dish was exquisite. the tamarind wings are a must - just do it. the oysters were so decadent! and the prawns - bury me in that sauce, please. please. we also ordered the tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection with the most flavorful crust. highly recommend if you can swing it. the salmon with calaloo gnocchi was something i’d never had before but will certainly dream about having again. the fried egg on top of the oxtail fried rice was a great touch because, well, who doesn’t love a fried egg?! and, okay, wow, the brussels sprouts really surprised me because i never knew brussels sprouts could be so delicious. for dessert, we had the mango passion fruit mousse and - omg - it was light, tart, and a great end cap to our stunning meal. the cocktails were also wonderful; i got a sweet one with whiskey and one with tequila and peach. i recommend both. i cannot say enough good things about this place! and i actually can’t wait to go back because they were out of the oxtail bao and i can’t go on living not knowing what that tastes like. thank you to chef, rick, and aliya for making my best friend’s birthday such an outstanding night to remember!!

My girlfriend and I were excited to try this spot after seeing so many glowing reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what I’d hoped — and definitely not reflective of the vibrant, bold flavors Caribbean food is known for. The waitress was ok. The real disappointment was the food. Caribbean cuisine should be bursting with spice, depth, and soul — but what we got was bland and uninspired. The shredded oxtail in the bao bun was bland and the lamb shank was VERY gamey. The mashed cassava that came with the lamb dish had a weird taste. The oxtail fried rice was ok. What made this experience worse was that we were charged for the lamb chops that we ordered but changed our mind the next minute since we were getting the lamb shank. The waitress went to the kitchen to cancel the order yet we were still charged for it. Granted, it’s partially my fault for not verifying the check before paying but the waitress did tell us it was cancelled and not to worry about it. Honestly, I don’t understand how this place has so many positive reviews. Maybe they used to be better, or maybe we came on an off day, but I can only speak to what we experienced — and it was a letdown from start to finish. Caribbean food deserves better representation than this.

Service: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Cocktails: 3.5/5 Food: 2.5/5 I was excited to try this restaurant due to the social media marketing and following Chef Scotley. Truly thrilled to hear that they were opening a 2nd location (original in Atl). We booked reservations for a girls night out-dinner session. Great location, amazing decor, the music set dope vibes and the staff were very pleasant. The menu offered an array of Caribbean and Asian fusion dishes. My issue was the execution (great recipes but cooks need to QA dishes before sending out). The dishes lacked flavor. I do believe that this does not speak to Chef Scotleys work (he was not there that night) but more so of mass production. At this price point, I anticipated a more polished result from the description of the dishes especially the Escovitch Lobster (needed more pickled peppers/onions and a sauce) and the oxtail Bao (very dry and needed more Caribbean spices). The best item was the pepper prawns. I will revisit in a few months to provide an update.

We decided to come to BK for date night after seeing a IG post and knowing their is a location in ATL. Continent did not disappoint. The service was great from the greeting of the hostess to our waiter and the mixologist. The decor is beautiful and not over done. The food was delicious! Another family was finishing their dinner when they were exiting the gentleman said to make sure we try the fish and oxtails, which was already on my list of must try from the IG post. We were not disappointed at all. My partner had the whiskey ginger smash and I had the stush martini both cocktails were definitely made with precision and caring for quality ingredients. We started with the Continent Salad which was divine and the shrimp mandu (dumplings). The flavors were superb and again the ingredients on point. Entrees: I had the oxtail lo mein and my partner had the fried whole red snapper, again no complaints the taste was outstanding and just loved the entire experience. We went upstairs to the roof top after and was surprised to see a pool and cabanas at Hotel Indigo. A really wonderful evening, we are looking forward to returning the Continent BK but also checking out the ATL location the next time we are in town. Please maintain the high quality food, cocktails, service and...
