I had an absolutely terrible experience at this bar. From the moment I approached the bartender to order a drink, I was met with outright hostility. The bartender was not only extremely rude but also displayed aggressive and racist behavior toward me, completely unprovoked. When I attempted to place my order, I was literally yelled at.
Concerned for my safety and dignity, I had to involve security to de-escalate the situation and bring management into the matter. Unfortunately, the manager was no better—unprofessional, dismissive, and shockingly, they even justified the bartender’s actions instead of addressing the issue appropriately. There was zero empathy, accountability, or effort to resolve the situation.
What was supposed to be a fun night out to celebrate my husband’s birthday was ruined within the first ten minutes. The environment here is toxic, the service is appalling, and the lack of professionalism from staff and management is unacceptable. I will be reporting this incident to the necessary authorities and pursuing legal action to hold them accountable.
If you value respect, decency, and a welcoming atmosphere, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. This location is nothing like others in the city, and it’s truly disappointing to witness such behavior in 2025. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere. Read moreExcellent games. Not as wide a selection as the one I went to in Manhattan, but they have a number of classics like Asteroids, Dig Dug, and Q-Bert (all of which were fun). Fighting games such as Mortal Kombat, and racing games, are well-represented—not my favorite, but there are options for most people. Some other examples include a Star Wars action game, Tetris, and Bubble Bobble. The focus is mostly on 80s games—as opposed to 3D games from the 90s, or music games from the 00s. The focus is on gameplay and nostalgia.
The place has a nice neighborhood vibe. Very chill.
I didn't try the beer—you're free to come for the games. Prices cluster around seven dollars—not happy hour prices, but fairly reasonable, especially for a pretentious neighborhood.
Prices are reasonable, at a quarter a play (each play generally gets you three lives). You have to use their finicky token system, which constantly rejects bills. Make sure you flatten them very well.
Staff let you mind your own business.
The location is pretty convenient, a few minutes walk from the Lorimer Street station.
I went there by myself with no problems. The place is very chill so you will not feel awkward. Plenty of people go by themselves, even on a Friday night.
This place is well worth checking out. For the price of a Manhattan cocktail you can get 48...
