The first time I came was a year ago and I have continued to return multiple times ever since because the food here was absolutely amazing. I will say that their service varies; sometimes it's great. sometimes it was on the slower side. The vibe of the whole place is trendy and beautiful.

They have a long list of wines, so you will definitely find something you'll like. They also have a list of cocktails, but if you prefer sweet cocktails, their options may not be for you.

If you do go to Montesacro, you must get their pizzas! They are on the more personal size, but it's perfect so you can get a variety and share with others. My favorite is the Casal Bertone. The meat to cheese ratio was perfect and they drizzle honey over it giving it the slightest bit of sweetness.

Other dishes I think are worth mentioning are: Dry-Aged Steak - The pricing is done by the ounce and they recommend the portion size is good for 2. The first time I had it was when it was a Valentine's Day special and they offered the steak at 28 oz. The steak was so simple yet it was so flavorful and there was a delicious charred taste. I'm not sure if they are going to bring it back permanently, but I came back during the holidays and they offered it again at 34 oz. The steaks also come with 2 sides. Fritto Misto - This dish came with fried squid, shrimp, and vegetables. The batter was light and fluffy and it was seasoned well. The dish comes with a side dip that adds to the flavor.

Overall, this spot is worth going to because it's great for any occasion and for any party size. Also, I think their menu changes from time to time, so there may be...

A great spot in Brooklyn conveniently located next to the subway (also street parking). You can choose to eat inside (or have drinks at the bar) or enjoy seating in their enclosed outdoor area with so much natural light where we had a delightful lunch. There’s a retractible roof for a nice day like we enjoyed yesterday. The appetizers and entrees are so fresh and delicious. And Stefano seated us and was so pleasant, accommodating and made sure our experience was perfect. We started with the roasted Porschetta, a roman style pork with fennel pollin and cracked pepper that went perfectly with the Focaccia pinsa with olive oil, rosemary and sea salt. I had the Gnocchetti - saffron pasta with rock shrimp and Sea Urchin butter, chili and bread crumbs, had a baby gem salad with crunchy lettuce with pecorino dressing. The 3 of us sampled each other’s entrees. The cheeseburger was very tasty with a grass fed painted hills farm burger that was juicy, with grilled onions, truffled pecorini cheese, and aioli on a fresh panini roll. Another one in our group ordered the Milanese chicken sandwich with chicory, aoili and hot honey on panini. Both were accompanied with tasty french fries. There were so many other choices with pasta’s, steak and chicken dishes, vegetarian, pizzas and delicious looking desserts we didn’t try because we enjoyed so many other great dishes! Montesacro is a must meal whenever...

A pleasant experience!

We couldn’t get a table at Lilia, and couldn’t run out fast enough at Bamonte’s because of their inhospitable and unwelcoming vibes. We were tired and stumbled upon Montesacro, and we were so glad we did! The was great for what it was, and the hostess and servers were all so wonderful. We didn’t know there were more seats in the back and were pleasantly surprised by the garden/greenhouse seats, and it was so spacious (and they had the AC blasting)!

We ordered the Lattuga Romana which was decent, not mind blowing, but was refreshing as we were in need of some greens. We ordered the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe and Paccheri Alla Vaccinara. I loved the latter. It had the cozy heartiness of a lasagna in pasta form. They also allowed me to order a ball of burrata on the side. We really wanted to try the Pinsas too, but will definitely need to come back for those. They looked delicious though. For drinks we ordered the Galvanina Ginger Beer and the Chinotto. Never heard of this Italian soda, but the ginger beer was so good. It seemed like a homemade healthy gingerale. The Chinotto on the other hand is definitely an acquired taste and it was like a bittersweet bubblegum flavor. They graciously let me swap it out for a peach black tea.

Will definitely be coming back here to...

We stumbled upon this adorable restaurant in Brooklyn during our sightseeing adventure. The atmosphere was peaceful, with an inviting outdoor area and a charming bar as you enter. We were pleasantly surprised when we were led to a cozy spot at the back. The restaurant had an open kitchen and open ceiling, creating a lively and vibrant ambiance. It seemed to attract a diverse crowd, from young people enjoying their meals to some friendly older folks sipping wine. The seating arrangement catered well to both groups of friends and couples on a date. Our orders were guided by the waiter's suggestions. The carbonara was a burst of rich flavors, satisfying our taste buds completely. The Casal Bertone Pinsa, a fluffy and flavorful treat, took us by surprise – even as someone who's not a big fan of pizza, I was thoroughly impressed. And oh, the ravioli special of the day was simply fantastic. From the authentic aesthetic to the warm and welcoming staff, not to mention the vibrant atmosphere and diverse patrons, this place is a total gem. Whether you call this place home or are guiding a newcomer through New York's food landscape, I highly recommend checking out this spot. It's a definite hit in every aspect!

Disappointing meal from start to finish. The service, while efficient, was cold and impersonal. Our server was not friendly, didn’t introduce himself and didn’t explain the menu. The food itself was too salty and lacking flavor. We each ordered the carbonara and don’t let the pictures deceive you - the grated Parmesan cheese on top was the only flavourful part of the dish. The sauce was watery and drowned out the guancale. I suspect the chef didn’t use much cheese in the sauce because the pasta was yellow from the egg yolk instead of cream-colored from a hefty amount Parmesan, as it should be. The NY Strip was flavorful, however it lacked a proper sear. It’s hard to mess up a steak so besides the sear, it was tasty. Not what I would expect for $39. Drinks were unremarkable, your average cocktail with a dried-citrus garnish that you’d find anywhere in Williamsburg. Ambience was 4-stars, they’ve got a big greenhouse out back where the majority of the tables are placed. We didn’t get the Pinsa, I’m not a fan of Roman-style pizza. To me it’s just foccicia bread with toppings. I guess that’s what they’re known for and if that’s what the people want then good for them.
