Basically just a cookie factory fashioned into a small takeout restaurant. This place sits behind a bunch of tall buildings on west 24 st and Chelsea near 7th ave. The artwork on display like the cookie logo as well as the crumbl mascot is pretty cool and the smell of the factory is even better. Once you go inside you can actually whiff the cookie batter and sugar and I do t know whether it rots your teeth or make you live your nose one of the other. There are about 4-6 employees on the inside and you don’t even need their assistance to pay and order your cookies. They have 2 systems specifically for that where you choose from their menu of cookies. Either singles or multiple packs (4,8,16 etc) and usually they have about 8-10 choices for cookies and treats to choose from including brownies and ice cream. They are seasonal so the choices change every week to every month. I went with a strawberry shortcake and a cookies and cream brownie which was absolutely phenomenal especially since I waited about 5 hours to eat. The cookies are warm and meant to be eaten right away in order to enjoy the softness and moisture that comes with it but you can still eat it cold regardless. I paid $12.57 for the these 2 and I don’t know whether it was worth it or not but the portions were pretty big and the cookies themselves were pretty good. Overall I would say this place is good to try at least once but going back over and over you might as well eat yourself to death considering the amount of calories and sugar inside...
Read moreUpdated review 5/25: I am done with Crumbl, or at least this location. I try to give a place multiple chances before I stop going there, because you never know what's going on behind the scenes. Everyone (place) has an off day or two. I have gone to this location on five separate occasions, since my last review, and customer service has been mediocre at best.
Why isn't the customer allowed to order from the kiosk/tablet themselves anymore? Instead of being able to look at the menu and order what I want I have to tell a cashier. While normally this wouldn't be a problem, your store doesn't have a menu posted at the location. You have a display case which doesn't list flavors, prices, calories, container counts, or what's currently in stock. All that information is on the tablet though and if I were allowed to order for myself like I use to be able to I would know. Instead I have to have an awkward conversation with the cashier asking about everything. This also artificially creates a line since each customer now has to go through this cumbersome process.
Original review from 12/24: This is directed at Crumbl in general, why have an online order feature if once I get to the store I'm going to have to wait 15 minutes to be told that 5/6 my order can't be completed, then have to wait several days for my order to...
Read moreI would like to recognize Lisa from your Chelsea location! She is the only reason I traveled from NJ, 2 hours each way, to make our first Crumbl purchase!! I called one of your other locations starting last Friday, called half dozen times, I was either disconnected, hung up on or left on hold for long times. My daughter suggested trying another location, when I did, is when I met Lisa over the phone and she convinced me to give Crumbl another try and turned the bad experience I had elsewhere into a positive one! She was caring, helpful, provided a warm greeting, listened and made suggestions sharing her personal testimony of your amazing cookies! She is patient, kind, understanding and incredibly supportive too! When I arrived at your shop, Lisa was there working hard on a fresh batch of cookies and paying close attention to all the little details so that nothing was missed! Lisa reaffirmed everything just by meeting her, she's beyond amazing, truly an asset to her team! She packaged my order with great care and took great pride too in your offerings. I cannot convey enough in words Lisa how incredibly grateful we are to you and for you and just know you now have a lifelong customer! We wish you continued success and looking forward to our next batch of cookies! With warmest...
