I love this cafe! Not only are the baristas super kind and knowledgeable but their hospitality is unmatched. They are skilled and friendly and quickly make your order despite super long lines. The lines move quickly. Something interesting I found out is that they roast their beans in house and it’s surrounded by glass so you can see the big roasting machine and all the beans.
The only downside is there’s only 1 bathroom and the wait to go in is much longer than the wait to order.
Other downside is since this place is so popular and busy (not really crowded, just busy) there are not enough seats. I think this is an easy fix as there is plenty of space. But it may also be a good way to keep the place feeling open and enjoyable to not have too many seats. But I think if they add more barstools to the bar seating area maybe it could help.
There’s a big couch section in the center, then a half booth against the greenery wall, then maybe 5/6 small tables with 2-4 chairs per table. Some tables have umbrellas especially on sunny days.
I love this cafe because it feels like a portal out of the hustle and bustle city vibe into a little escape. The temperature is nice, not too hot or cold despite outdoor weather. And the aesthetic is comfortable. The concrete brutalist factory style contrasting with the bright yellow accents and the lively greenery and big bright skylight make it a peaceful yet grounding space.
I think this location is worth a visit but don’t expect to be able to sit or use the bathroom within a reasonable time frame. You’ll most likely have to wait around 15-20 minutes minimum for each. 30-40 on a high traffic day.
One other thing to note is a lot of people come here to work on their laptops so they don’t move for a while which is why there’s not a lot of seats being rotated faster. I’ve seen regulars that are there every time I go and they get there before me and leave long after me even if I’ve been there a while.
All in all, the cafe and products are a 10/10 Love the quality of the workers and food and drinks Love the atmosphere...
Read moreI recently visited Devocion, a charming cafe located in Brooklyn, and was blown away by the beautiful interior and delicious coffee. The cafe has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a stunning live plant wall that gives it a natural, organic feel. It's the perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or get some work done while enjoying a cup of coffee.
Speaking of coffee, Devocion's brews are some of the best I've ever had. They use only the highest quality beans, sourced directly from farmers in Colombia, and roast them in-house for a fresh and flavorful cup every time. I tried their classic espresso, and it was rich and smooth with just the right amount of crema.
One thing that really stood out to me about Devocion was their commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. They prioritize fair wages for their coffee farmers and use eco-friendly practices throughout their supply chain.
Overall, I would highly recommend Devocion to anyone looking for a cozy and inviting cafe with delicious coffee and a beautiful interior. The live plant wall adds a unique touch that sets it apart from other cafes, and the commitment to sustainability and social responsibility make it a great choice for ethical consumers. Whether you're a coffee lover or just looking for a relaxing spot to hang out, Devocion is definitely...
