A MUST! If you love food, or even if you have picky eaters, this will definitely be added to your top favorite places. Don't mind my novella but I absolutely loved this place. My boyfriend and I dined in last night and are looking forward to showing friends how wonderful it is. I wish a professional could write my review to capture the quality of this experience. Every dish had contrast whether it be the textures, flavors (amazing) or hot and cold. For two people we ordered more than enough food, but wanted a variety, and had enough leftovers for us both to enjoy everything again. The service was incredible. You leave with the added perk of feeling hydrated and great because they continuously top off your water-- they're probably not doing this to make you "hydrated" but it was very nice. We ordered:
cauliflower fritters (pakura) (HEAVEN) lamb spring roll tandoori haryali shrimp shrimp curry lamb biryani - received cucumber raita and believe it came with this dish garlic naan coconut naan mango chutney cheesecake (rasmalai)
Every dish came with a sauce (or two) that complemented the main dish. When you arrive they provide thin crackers. I mixed the two sauces because although both great on their own, together were amazing.
The cauliflower fritters(!!) are one the best things I've ever eaten. They don't taste fried, just an amazing delicious creation that I will be back for.
My boyfriend (who also loved everything) said his favorite was the lamb spring roll. These are huge and very filling. I only had half of one so that I could try the other items but it was very difficult not to eat the whole thing.
The shrimp curry tastes like a beautiful tomato soup. There is just so much depth to it. When asked which naan we should order to accompany our dishes, the server suggested garlic. It was outstanding and my favorite combination was with the shrimp curry dish.
I strongly recommend everything we ordered, which is tough because I also want to try their other items. The lamb biryani came with so much meat - so even for a "rice dish" you will be sure to please protein lovers. I believe this came with the cucumber sauce, which was an outstanding refreshing bonus to a dish that wasn't missing anything to begin with.
Lastly, we ordered the cheesecake dessert which they graciously provided complementary. Normally if we are full we skip dessert but this didn't send us to a food coma. It was chilled and not heavy, very delicious. A lot of desserts at restaurants will be a baseball bat of sugar hitting you. Yet once again this dish was like giving your mouth a hug, it was nice and sweet.
Inexpensive, generous portions, and on a great street to walk around. I hope you...

We started off with the mango lassi, it was sooo creamy, soo refreshing, I could honestly drink 10 cups of these on my own.
We love a good deal so we got their 3 course meal for $17.95. You get an appetizer, entree and dessert. Honestly, I was stuffed after the appetizer. Their portion sizes for their appetizers are no joke. The lamb spring roll was the side of a beats pill speaker!!! The chicken samosa could barely fit in my hand! They were both sooo delicious, I am actually craving them rn as I'm writing this. We also got their crispy bokchoy fried in chickpea batter. I would pick that over french fries any day!
For the entree we got the chicken tikka masala, its a classic when you are overwhelmed with the unlimited choices. The creamy sauce was delicious, it also came with basmati rice. The lamb rogan josh was super flavorful and the meat was soo tender. Indian cuisines really know how to mask the after taste of lamb, I usually never order lamb but this was delicious! We got another entree a la carte, the saag paneer. I love cheese and with the spinach?? It was heaven, every bite simply melted away in my mouth. The server also recommended another super popular dish if you like spicy, chicken vindaloo, the spiciness builds up and lingers in your mouth. Only gets hotter and hotter! If you love spicy then you should challenge yourself to the chicken vindaloo! We also tried the rasmalai and kheer. Cant go wrong with dessert. The rasmalai was so refreshing and definitely helps cool down the mouth from the hot hot chicken vindaloo. The kheer was delicious as well. Rice pudding is a classic.
Overall our experience with he food is was 10/10 and the service was a 11/10. Their humble and big hearts made the food taste ten times better. Our cups were never empty for more than 5 seconds. I swear I have never seen any server work as hard as this team. They were so dedicated.
This is honestly my new fav Indian cuisine spot in Brooklyn. Amazing service and delicious food! Name a...

Although I did takeout, my server Ram was really polite and provided wonderful customer service during the 15 minutes I was there waiting for my order.
For my appetizer I ordered the lamb spring roll (minced lamb meat, garam masala, mint and raita). I ordered it because it was something different that I've never seen on any other menu. It was the size of an egg roll you'd get at a Chinese restaurant. Crunchy on the outside and savory on the inside. Dipped in the mint and raita sauces really brought this appetizer to life. I really enjoyed this!
For my entree I ordered the lamb saag (made with spinach, garlic, ginger, toasted cumin and coriander). It came with basmati rice. I was asked if I wanted the dish regular, medium, spicy or very spicy. I chose spicy and I'm glad I did because it was perfect. It had just the right amount of "kick" without being overbearing. The combination of lamb with with other ingredients were incredible!
For my dessert I chose the rasmalai (light cheesecake, thickened creamy milk, pistachio). What an amazing combination! It was incredibly delicious and light. The taste was reminiscent of Fruity Pebbles. YUM!
I'm a big Naan lover so I ordered the garlic Naan. When I asked for the bill to pay, Ram told me the Naan was "on the house." Wow! He didn't have to do that but it was very much appreciated. The garlic Naan was very good by the way.
I'm excited to now know that Atithi is a BYOB restaurant, especially since there's not a plethora of BYOB restaurants around NYC these days. They have a lunch special everyday from 11:30 AM until 3 PM for $9.95 that includes an appetizer and an entree. They also have a three-course pre-fix menu everyday from 11:30 AM until 10:30 PM for $17.95 that includes one appetizer, one entree and one dessert or drink. I'm looking forward to returning to take advantage of this.
I truly see why this new Williamsburg gem is highly rated. Everything from start to finish were...
