Most pretentious and disrespectful customer service experience I have had at any bar in a while (and that is saying something for NYC). Came here on a Wednesday night for a drink with my girlfriend and two friends. The bar was open and busy but not crowded. Open the door and there is a red rope line across the doorway which struck me as strange and uninviting. No one helps us, meanwhile we’re standing there holding the door open freezing out the people sitting near the front of the bar because we can’t enter (it’s like 30 degrees out). I finally suggest my girlfriend lift the ropline to go inside because A.) no one is helping us and B.) we’re freezing everyone sitting anywhere near the door because there is this obnoxious rope line. They go inside and finally someone comes to help them, who tells them that the ropline is there for a reason and that they need to wait outside. Overall the staff were disrespectful with our request to have a table, so we left. Listen, I know the Infatuatuon gave you a review in 2017, but I don’t think that gives your bar the right to be embarrassingly pretentious and rude, especially on a Wednesday lol.
My tips for you: Get rid of the un inviting rope line across your door, and treat your customers...

Service - extremely slow and understaffed. Received drinks 30 minutes after ordering. 1 bartender and 1 server serving 40 people on a Friday night just isn’t enough.
Drink Quality - boring, basic drinks with low-quality alcohol. Some of us even felt extremely ill and nauseous all evening after trying one of the cocktails (which was our only drink of the night)
Creativity - seems like they’re just cutting corners here by creating a list of 15 average cocktails in the back and just matching every order to one. We gave very clear guidance that was totally ignored. Asked for a spicy drink - got a bland pisco sour. Asked for a drink with apple flavors - got an old fashioned. They could have randomly given us any drink in a cocktail book and it would have made about as much sense as the drinks we actually got, in the context of what we ordered.
Overall, save your money and go to Attaboy where they actually pull off this...
Read moreOne star for the drinks, which are great. This poor review is for the host that worked last night. Now my husband and I are regulars here - we come for the drinks and ignore the pretentious red rope, but last night the host was plain rude, and I’m sorry to say - downright RACIST.
We asked about being seated 3 times, all in the course of different hours when he kept saying they are capacity. Finally he said 10 min wait. Okay fine. After 10 minutes he opens the door, and when my husband asks if he’s ready to seat us - the host RUNS across the street ignoring when we called out to him like 3-4 times.
We saw many other couples get seated before us. I guess we looked too Spanish to get across the red rope this time?
Nonetheless - we walk across the street to a different bar and this man is having a drink with the other bartender. Like hello? Does your job know you’re running across the street pounding down drinks and not...
