Bario Neal — Local services in New York

My girlfriend surprised me by proposing with a ring from Bario Neal recently. And I couldn’t believe it, it’s literally my dream ring! Everyone who knows me says it’s the most “me” thing they’ve ever seen. It’s so sparkly and rainbow, it makes me feel like it’s a unicorn’s engagement ring!

It’s true that the ring is so beautiful, unique, and high quality. But my real praise has to go to the company Bario Neal. For starters, I feel really good that my fiancée chose this company, because I feel that they mirror our own values. As we are a lesbian couple, it really mattered to me that Bario Neal is a woman-owned company and that they openly support human rights and marriage equality!

But beyond that, the customer service is the best I have ever experienced when dealing with a company. My ring had a slight problem, and so I reached out to the company via email, hopeful that their values would stand. I received a prompt reply, and a generous offer to fix (and remake if necessary) my ring. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly and pleasant! It was truly a joy whenever I received an email reply from the company. The ring was fixed quickly and securely, and it didn’t cost me a penny. They didn’t make me pay for express shipping, even though I live in Canada. I was so impressed with their incredible customer service!

Nice jewelry. I ordered my wedding bands here. However, I needed them for my ceremony, which was on Monday and the manager of the store said she would “overnight” them to me, in which I paid $54, and she assured me they would be on our fingers come Monday. The manager didn’t choose the fastest option, and the rings took the slow ride from Philly to Astoria, NY. It could have been nicer if she gave me all the options for how fast to get them delivered. I would have paid for the fastest, furthermore I had to order “cheap” rings from Amazon, which I got delivered the next day.

Low and behold the rings from Bario Neal were delivered, to my apartment when I wasn’t home (I also didn’t sign for them) after my wedding at City Hall.

Shame on the general manager for not caring, having any empathy and for not personally tracking down the rings and delivering them to me herself. (She offered me placeholders… as if I had any free time to hustle to Brooklyn, and then return them….in my busy life….)

I like the rings, but this level of professionalism with the shipping was down right pathetic.

I cannot praise this store highly enough! My partner and I came here to begin our process of looking at promise/committment rings. The experience was better than I could have ever imagined. The space itself is beautiful and thoughtful, and we felt welcome from the very start. Seth helped my partner decide on a ring and was so kind, transparant, and informative. He answered all of our questions, gave us food for thought, and an education on the different gems, settings, and sizing. My partner chose a ring which they are resizing for her, and they are also bringing other options from their PA showroom for me to try in the coming weeks.
