E.A.K. RAMEN by MACHIDA SHOTEN Moynihan Train Hall — Restaurant in New York

We had the best experience here today!! We were drawn to it because we weren’t super hungry and saw the bao buns. We are from out of town and had been walking around the city all day… tired with little patience but feeling good.

We walked up and Jeremy greeted us immediately. Just a great vibe. We asked about the bao buns and he immediately gave the thumbs up on the chicken… told us it was his favorite item on the menu. It was a great recommendation.

Jeremy’s whole vibe was amazing. His knowledge of the menu, his recommendations, our food came out very timely and it was fire! After eating my bun I went back and got two more. He brings such positivity and energy that I will make sure I come back again. His customer service was top notch. Nothing to be sneezed at in this day and age.

I did not expect these buns were going to be this good. Please get them. They are pricey...

Horrible. I asked if they give a lot of chicken in the curry over rice and the cashier said “we give two whole chicken thighs.” Then when I got my meal it was two tiny pieces of chicken with a mound of rice and I paid close to $17 for this bs. It didn’t even taste good and it didn’t even fill me up. Don’t get anything from this place as they skimp out on portions, happened to my friend for another item as well. I went back and questioned the cashier if this is what he meant by two whole chicken thighs and if I could get more chicken and he said he would have to charge me and was dismissive of what he told me earlier. Why are you running a food place if you can even more provide a meal with reasonable portions. Horrible food, horrible prices, horrible service. Never...

Was craving some ramen while waiting for my train, so I decided to pay E.A.K. Ramen a visit. Was definitely surprised by the results!

The Food: I went with the "Oh So Hot Miso Ramen" since I needed something spicy. The ramen came out surprisingly delicious for being in a train station. The ramen broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked nicely, and the portion was pretty decent. For a fast casual place, the ramen was pretty good. A little pricey, but that's due to the area.

The Service: Service was pretty fast. Staff here were friendly.

The Atmosphere: Plenty of tables to sit at, since it' an open space.

Overall, a 4/5. Definitely worth a try if you are...
