I would greatly give this place 0 stars if I could. I've been here before but today (on Thanksgiving) I definitely was shown the true colors of this place. Also, about something crazy, that I've never heard before but let's start at the beginning. Earlier today, I called in for an order of enpanadas and paid for it. I told the young lady at the other end of the phone, a time that I would pick the order up and then asked, "if I'm not able to pick the order up can I send someone to pick it up for me"? I was told, yes. My aunt goes in to pick up the order and was told NO! I then go to pick up the order and l ask the young girl "why didn't you give my aunt my order"? The girl says " it wasn't ready because we had a huge order from another customer and haven't started yours. I leave and return a couple of hours later. I ask for my order and when I get to the car, I realize that I wasn't given what is called in Spanish (salsa roja) red sauce for the empanadas or napkins 🥴 I return and say " I wasn't given the red sauce or napkins" Can you believe that I was told that the red sauce cannot be given out for orders going out. That that red sauce is only for customers staying in. WHAT! Ok, so I asked for the green sauce. They gave it to me along with a HAIR inside of it. Half of the hair was inside and half hanging out. No, it wasn't mine. For I had not opened it yet. I go back inside and ask for a person in charge. A tall male asks me what is going on and I explained. If there is something that someone in charge of a restaurant or any other establishment shouldn't do, is insinuate that the hair belong to me, the customer. To top it off, he starts smiling, like all I had told him and went through was something to smile about. Especially, after him insinuating that it was my hair or that I put it there myself. Not a good way to start your Thanksgiving Day or any other day for that matter. I told him that I give reviews and that his behavior and the way he's (smiling) going about things isn't good, he said "that's okay". I told him "you call what happened and the way you went about things ok"? "You call yourself the person in charge"? I just left....
Read moreI been coming to this place for years before the pandemic started, their service was great but the past few times i have stop by the girl at the counter seem like she didn't want to be there any who this week I Decided to dine in but the service was bad the server took our order as a rush , it was 4 of us I order fried calamari that tastes weird and it was hard to even try to chew , we order 3 dishes aside from the calamari. one of the orders came first and the second order of fried rice and shrimp took over 20 mins and the other order of rice and chicken took about 25 minutes I guess she had forgotten about the last order. Because when I mentioned she looked surprised and said its coming yet she rushed to her system and then to the kitchen as she was rushing the cooks for my order that I had order prior with the 1st order that came out first . When the rice and shrimp finally came out it had no taste the shrimp were hard and super salty. Honestly the worst experience we've had . I don't think we will be coming back to dine in . For an almost $100 bill it was not...
Read moreCalentado Maximus!...an alternative from American breakfast and Tres-Golpes, this place is great, don't pay no mind to people who've had a bad experience, when I read their reviews, they just nit-picking, confusing a restaurant to a hotel service, lol. I go for the food and let me tell you, I recommend the Desayuno Montañero (2 eggs any style, nice size tender juicy steak, chorizo, recalentado :-) , nice soft "8 inch arepa (not just any arepa) with fresh shredded quezo sprinkled on top with a light buttery aftertatse) cafe con Leche is the bomb and natural juices, to die for, sweet and ripe (I prefer the naranja or mango) And that's just one dish I'm talking about. The Only Colombian/ bakery spot on Ridgewood that saves you the trouble from having to go to Roosevelt Ave, East Elmhurst/ Northern and etc. In Queens. You got it all here...
