The pasta burrsta was ok at best and the salmoné I had was moderate. The main reason for this review was the attitude displayed by the staff and the manager that refused to speak with his customers. We requested the gnocchi and chicken be taken back because it wasn’t up to standard. The server that spoke with us told us he would let our waiter know. He didn’t or at least that was what was told to us. When the bill arrived, it was still on it. To provide context we didn’t eat but a bite from the gnocchi and a bite from the chicken. We didn’t even touch the bread because it was bitter and burnt. Our server had a mini freak out on us, stating “I’m your server, YOU NEED TO TELL ME” she was unruly while the waiter we told our discrepancies to watched on. We responded “well, we don’t know you didn’t communicate here” as she stumbled across her next sentence the manager paced by our table with a grimace on his face but no words. We asked her for the incompetent servers name since she said “he didn’t tell me” and she refused to give it to us upon request instead she sharply replied “take it up with the manager”. We let her know we were in a hurry to leave as we didn’t want to stay there much longer with the energies they were providing, but they took a 10 minute intermission to remove an item off the bill. I’m not kidding btw, a 10 minute intermission while our uber waited outside for us and we had to cancel. They were rude, the food was average at best, and they cost us more money with their pettiness. I would not recommend, you can get better Italian food at your local pizzeria and Don’t let them fool you, some of them weren’t even Italian. The scenery is...
Read moreTLDR: good food - rude and unprofessional waitress
I had a good overall experience at this restaurant in terms of service and food. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The menu offered a nice variety of options, and the food was enjoyable.
Unfortunately, after my elderly uncle paid the bill, the waitress returned to our table and publicly expressed her dissatisfaction with the tip he had given. She was passive-aggressive, which made the situation uncomfortable for all of us. It turned out that my uncle had given a 13% tip, which fell below the waitress's expectations.
This incident definitely marred an otherwise positive dining experience, as it made everyone uncomfortable and eager to leave. I strongly believe that such behavior should not be encouraged in any establishment. Tips should be a voluntary expression of gratitude for good service, and it is inappropriate for a server to react negatively or make customers feel guilty for providing what they consider a fair tip.
This incident overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable meal. I hope that the management takes note of this incident and trains their staff to handle such situations in a more customer-centric and appropriate manner.
Despite this unfortunate encounter, I would still recommend the restaurant for its good food. However, I would advise potential diners to be aware of the possibility of encountering such behavior regarding tipping and to not let it dampen their overall experience at...
Read moreI recently went here for brunch with a friend and it was incredible. The ambience is beautiful. Our server, Rafaela was amazing; attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and cuisine. We started off with their delicious burrata and prosciutto served with their crispy Tuscan bread. The burrata was so creamy and paired perfectly with the salty prosciutto. For our cocktails, I ordered the Riviera from their regular drink menu (Bombay Dry Gin, St. Germain, Chartreuse liqueur, fresh mint) and my friend got an espresso martini (available on both their regular and brunch cocktail menu). Rafaela recommended the Pizzetta con Salmone Affumicato (smoked salmon pizzetta) which was so delicious. It was even better than I thought it would be. I also tried one of their brunch cocktails, the Puccini, made with fresh mandarin oranges. My friend ordered the pollo fritto (fried chicken) served with an arugula and tomato salad, spicy caper aioli and grilled lemon for her entree. I ordered the fusili with San Marzano tomato sauce and burrata. Both dishes were so good. The pasta is clearly homemade. It was so fresh. My friend also ordered a side of bacon. I didn't have any, but it looked perfectly cripsy. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate crostata with whipped cream that was whipped tableside, a nice touch. I also had an espresso. I highly recommend going there. It was great.
