We bought lots of stamps there today and the guy way overcharged them. When we realised that and asked for the reason, he said we didn't ask for the price before we gave him the money so he could charge whatever he likes. He said that would be business. He was very impolite. My girlfriend always wants the best for people, donats money to those who need it although she does't have a lot of money herself and she wanted to go to the magazines store because she wanted to support it. She is really sad now and cried because of the bad treatment and that some people take good intentions of others as an invitation for a rip off. Buyers beware of shady overcharging tactics. This place is notorious for charging above the cover price. When asked about price, the Owner / Employee referred to "the cover price" but upon being run up, the price went up $15. The card reader is barely legible in stating the final total so, look closely. Pay attention. Have them reconfirm the total multiple times. When we noticed the discrepancy after the transaction was made, the store refused a refund via card and cash.

Why you'd soil your business reputation over $15 is beyond me. It's laughable: Casa was on the verge of closing for good during the pandemic. Maybe they should've shut down. I'll stick buying my magazines elsewhere...

This owner is rude. I have gone in multiple times and every single time he is rude.

The last time I called ahead and told him I was looking for the Washington Post. He said he had it. He said when I got there I should have asked to reserve it. He only had two out of 10 copies left. He then informed me he only accepted cash. I told him to hold them and I would be back.

I went to find an 🏧 that worked. By the time I found a working 🏧 he had literally put them back on the shelf. I had been gone for less than 30 minutes.
