Village Square Market — Local services in New York

I was visiting family in the West Village and needed a few breakfast items. I was pleased to find Fage yogurt, a couple of bagels and almond butter at this conveniently located market. I was not happy the next morning, thiugh, when I opened the almond butter and discovered that the solid part was hard as a rock. Obviously, natural nut butters need to be stirred before using but this was like dried cement. I took a good look at the jar and discovered an expiration date on the bottom - early December of last year! In the end I just tossed this small, $12 jar of almond butter into the trash. I made the mistake of not getting a receipt (paper or digital), so realized I probably couldn’t return it. What a waste of money. Part of running a grocery is keeping track of expiration dates! Ordered a pick up order. Arrived about 15 minutes later for a chicken burger and iced tea. The girl at the register was nice, nothing overly exceptional, and told me the guy on the grill had the ticket. So I waited for a bit and saw people who were ordering getting their orders and nothing about mine. I went up to the guy and he was very rude when I asked him about my order.
