I was visiting family in the West Village and needed a few breakfast items. I was pleased to find Fage yogurt, a couple of bagels and almond butter at this conveniently located market. I was not happy the next morning, thiugh, when I opened the almond butter and discovered that the solid part was hard as a rock. Obviously, natural nut butters need to be stirred before using but this was like dried cement. I took a good look at the jar and discovered an expiration date on the bottom - early December of last year! In the end I just tossed this small, $12 jar of almond butter into the trash. I made the mistake of not getting a receipt (paper or digital), so realized I probably couldn’t return it. What a waste of money. Part of running a grocery is keeping track of expiration dates!
