FIG. 19 is a RACIST place. Tonight I went with 4 of my other friends who are also Asian women for drinks and fun at their place. We started at the bar to order our drinks and my friend gave them her credit card to close the tab. A bit later, they offered us a table so we gladly moved over. When we had our drinks and ready to leave, their manager stopped us and accusing us for not paying. And that’s when my friend realized that they had never return her credit card back. My friend was panicking since losing a credit card could be a huge inconvenience. But instead of helping, their manager refused to answer any question I had and 1) requested to see the credit card transaction showing we paid; 2) demanded our personal belonging to look for the credit card; 3) kept saying that because we were under alcohol influence (I meant we were in a bar 🤷🏻♀️) we were making misjudgments. My friend politely asked what happened to her credit card, the manager told her to “stop yelling” and had the security standing next to us to rush us out. Their staff insisted that he had returned a card to an Asian girl and that’s how he closed the tab. It turned out that not only we had paid our bill in full on the first place, their staff gave my friend’s credit card to another Asian girl in our group probably because they were not able to distinguish us. At the end, not only we were not able to get ANY explanation nor apology for this whole mistreatment, but also the manager had the security to escort us out even though we did nothing wrong and we were the victims of their staff’ and manager’s incapability. BTW, we tried to communicate with them on instagram later and they called us silly. I also fractured my foot in their bar during the chaos and no one offered any help. Listen, fig19 owners and staff, we only want an explanation and apology this whole time cuz we were mistreated while you guys are just trying to blame us and refuse any proper communication....
Read moreFig 19 is a hidden gem that exudes charm and a sense of exclusivity. Nestled behind an unassuming art gallery, the speakeasy vibe is absolutely perfect for those who love a more intimate, tucked-away spot for drinks. The moment you step in, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance. The low lighting, vintage decor, and soft music create an effortlessly cool atmosphere that’s perfect for a date night or catching up with friends.
The cocktail menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a great mix of classic drinks and creative concoctions. I tried the a drink and it was expertly crafted—balanced, flavorful, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The bartenders know their craft and are happy to recommend drinks based on your preferences, which adds to the overall experience.
While the drinks were stellar, the service could have been a touch more attentive. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it felt like the staff was stretched a bit thin during busier times. A little more interaction or speed would have elevated the experience even further.
The vibe of Fig 19 is what really sets it apart. It manages to feel both trendy and relaxed, making it a place you want to linger for hours. The only downside is the seating—it’s limited, and getting a spot during peak hours can be tricky. I’d recommend arriving early if you want to snag a good spot to enjoy the evening comfortably.
Overall, Fig 19 is a fantastic spot that delivers on quality cocktails, a unique atmosphere, and a memorable experience. With just a few small tweaks, it could easily become a five-star destination. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu and soak in the...
Read moreI was in love the moment I stepped through the... Painting. Two of my friends brought me here. I had no clue where they were taking me, but I'm glad I went along for the ride. We stepped into what seemed like an ordinary art gallery. I was nervous because it seemed that the placed was shut down for the night and I'm not into nefarious activity that might put priceless art in jeopardy. As I respectfully started to admire the art (thinking that's what we were doing for the evening), someone opens a door into this Beautiful Speakeasy.
The decor is clean, classic and classy simultaneously. Where one might question function, there still presents aesthetic (e.g. the candles in place of a full flame in the fireplace). I found myself staring at the elongated chandeliers between sips. The detail continues into the restrooms (How many venues could you say that about?).
Maybe you don't care for the decor. That's ok because the cocktails are expertly mixed. That is not a cliché. Watch your bartender as they precisely, mix, blend and pour with precision before taking that first sip. You'll appreciate it that much more. Then relax and stare at the chandelier while contemplating life's many intricacies.
Bottomline: Go! ... I recommend a Thursday night though, maybe with a date. I heard it gets a little crowded on the weekends, but don't take my...
