Fisherman's Cove — Restaurant in New York

They usually say when the Jamaicans are rude, the food good, but this statement doesn't apply to this restaurant today or no day. I nearly walked out of the store when I encountered the rude cashier, and Ishould have. Likkle brownskin girl with the glasses! Nobody force you to work! Quit or deal with the job properly until you find better. The lady told you repeatedly she want a small, and when she ask you a question, you just look at her rude as you were giving her your change. When the customers talking to you, you ignore them. When calling a customer for her food, you just say here you go and stand there as if anybody know who you talking to. If she never turnaround, and ask, she wouldn't have know. You have to do better!! Customers don't pay to be mistreated, Especially your own Caribbean people. Furthermore stop serving dem dry up plantain . Switch them out our make a fresh batch. It's unfair to pay so much for food, to be served dry up burnt plaintain.Other than that the...

I was in the area and checked my yelp bookmarks for a place to eat lunch. I prepared myself for a long line based on the reviews but the wait wasn't too bad.

The restaurant was a lot bigger than it looked from the outside. Most people were ordering take out but they have several table and chairs if you want to sit and eat. The place was clean and bustling with customers coming and going.

I ordered two jerk chicken lunch specials with oxtail gravy, for $7 each. The lunches came in the mini Styrofoam bowls and my greedy side initially said dag it's not a lot of food, lol. Boy was I mistaken, I waited to feast on my food until I got home. The jerk chicken was nicely seasoned and was abundantly piled in that mini bowl. I couldn't even eat all of it one sitting. They have fell off after all these years of coming here I've had bad service B4 and great food but to receive both is just outrageous. And disrespectful on every level. So the server of this location gives me rock hard plantains that have been over cooked and hardened to the point I almost cracked a tooth after I asked the server why would he give this to anyone who comes here to eat the man just looked at me rolled his eyes then looked away like I wasn't even talking to him. So I said you should be ashamed of yourself to give anyone food that can't be eating. Smh. I will never step one foot back in there never again. And I don't think any one should.
