Forest Hills Deli Bagel — Restaurant in New York

Tiny deli with a table or two. Lots of good food in there and the grill is great. Seriously, the sandwiches are top notch, let's not lie about that. They keep changing, I don't know if the management changes or what, but every few months, new menu items, etc. I don't believe they are 24 hours like listed here. They were for about a month or two then went back to closing at 12 or 1. I went at 3am a week or so ago, they were not open. So anyway, I can't come back anymore because they have done shrinkflation. So it used to be maybe $5-7 for a sandwich and then $9 for a hero. They have done a thing where now it's $9 for a sandwich and then in small print at the bottom of the menu it says tiny "+$3 for hero". So now the hero is $12 but the same $9 price you are used to seeing is in big letters, but you are getting the sandwich size, not the hero. If you were not paying attention, you would end up with either a small sandwich or stuck paying $12. I am glad I read the new menu carefully again even though I have been there so often or I would have been caught by this trick. So no, with that being the case I cannot come back to a place doing shady things like that and raising prices that high. Considering you can get the same deli sandwich heros pretty much all over queens at the $9-10 range still, why come here and pay an extra few dollars? I literally walked a few blocks down and got a $9 hero from another deli right afterwards. It's still a good place to grab a chips or soda if you are not near...
