We’ve been ordering from this place for years. Not the best NY slice but a decent slice. prefer my tomato sauce base slightly sweeter, and theirs is slightly on the salty side- that’s a matter of individual preference. That said, the ingredients are always fresh. My brother is obsessed with the Frank’s Special (mushroom, arugula, oregano), and usually wants to order that every time he’s home visiting. The quality when you get a whole pie is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s so greasy the middle sort of sinks in, and the ingredients sort of just slides off when you pick up the slice. Tonight was a hit night: ingredients were beautifully laid out, the center wasn’t overly heavy and greasy, and the crust was thin and crispy. The customer service is also very hit or miss. The guys making the pizzas are all SUPER nice - and you can see they’re very hardworking. There’s usually an older lady at the cashier handling the money that’s definitely on the rude side, and I’ve definitely been ignored by her multiple times over the years - pretty sure it’s because I’m Asian American, and not because she’s having a bad day, because there have been times when she’s rude to me but turned around and been highly courteous to whatever white person behind me. Her rudeness has definitely contributed to my choosing to walk an extra avenue over to Lunetta when I’m hungry and just want two slices. But like I said, the brother likes their Frank’s Special and craves it, so I brace myself and go get it a few times a year. Sort of used to it by now, and somewhat expected everytime we order from them and I go to pick up. When she’s not there, like tonight when I went, it truly is a sigh of relief, and it was a delightful experience, complete w a “thank you and enjoy your pizza” from the guy who handed me my pie.

Dec 28 2023 about 925p Bought 1 regular cheese slice and 1 sausage slice wanted both very hot. Chz came out quick cause he said pie came out not to long ok, but sausage had to go back barely warm he didn't want to kept saying it's hot enough finally put back in and wait. Front is very small dining area with pizza ovens and prep areas extremely well lit and then a large enclosed dining room bit dark at the moment. Slices served on paper plates and food tray Sat back near large dining room entrance. Both slices very thin crumb bottom but soft and mooshy, sauce slight delay tasty, lot of stretchy cheese and sausage. Only problem it's burnt on the bottom of the sausage making a bitter taste and scooped some charcoal from oven onto the plate. Once again extremely well lit can see into the oven, but not paying attention and it wasn't busy.

This is a hidden gem. You enter and it looks like a little fast-eat pizza shop, but the back door opens up to an old school classical and intimate nyc italian restaurant. I ordered the chicken francese with linguini which was so tender and juicy and sauce was cooked to perfection (mind you this is one of my favorite dishes ever- hard critic) and fried calamari which was also great. Staff was super attentive.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID THIS RESTAURANT. OWNER is a LIAR! Sadly, it's like being in a GERIATRIC ward. Don't be fooled by the, now, single owner who is an elderly woman. Most of human nature feels compassion for the elderly, as I did. DON'T, DON'T, DON'T for her. I was a great customer, coming almost every night. She, the owner, lies. She came up with and set a pattern of giving me 2 little garlic knots instead of a whole loaf of hot bread with butter. Her idea, her doing. Worked for me and was cheaper for her. I was ordering a half-order of pasta, which one can and doesn't get a salad or side dish with, for ages, and always got the same amount of pasta. The other day, there was hardly any pasta, so I told her. There is this waiter, Delfino, who can be VERY lazy. Tonight was one of his LAZY nights. Tonight, I go there and there aren't even 10 people in the restaurant. He's not the only waiter. It takes him 20 minutes to get me my drink. During that time, he's often just standing there doing nothing. Another waiter even came to see what I was waiting for. Even two other customers who are together are complaining to Delfino about how he didn't take care of him. Tonight, she, the owner lies and says the garlic knots are not available. I questioned her honesty. Then the waiter tells me that she, the owner, said I had to order a full order of pasta because I said something about the tiny order the other day. I go and talk to her. Then I realize that she lied about the garlic knots as well. She's the one who started the pattern. She should own her own actions and not blame it on the customer. Also, the BATHROOMS can be disgusting! Not going there anymore and told her and Delfino so. I've always tried to avoid the bathrooms, unless I was desperate. What I really hate is people who try to come off like they are so religious and such good people, when they LIE right to your face. I hope she takes ownership in what SHE set up, the pattern. She didn't even see the little amount of pasta that was given to me that day. Perhaps, she resented giving me the 2 garlic knots in the first place, although it was cheaper than a whole loaf of bread and butter, or perhaps she was influenced by the OFTEN LAZY waiter, Dell, AKA, Delfino. Also, know that it's like going to a GERIATRIC WARD, or being in one one, so it can get VERY DEPRESSING. Shame on me for going so often. I'm young and very much appreciate that I am. I went there so often because I don't like to be hit on. Dell would be sure to change that up every so often though, and some of the oldies too, when they don't have helpers. Lots of my friends would tell me to STOP GOING THERE because it's so depressing. I should have listened a...

On the outside this place looks like a regular pizzeria but once you step inside to the back it is a cozy restaurant. Due to covid there are temperature checks in place and plastic barricades have been set up separating the tables making you feel very safe. As an alternative they also have outdoor seating which was setup very nicely. The food here is very delicious and the portion sizes are big. I personally had a penne la vodka with grilled chicken and it was great. They always serve warm bread with butter which alone is very tasty but couple with the pasta is magic. For dessert I had the chocolate moose cake which was again very delicious.. I would definitely recommend this place to eat. I would definitely try to get there a little before the dinner rush as it can become very busy. The waiters were all very friendly and quick to take your order and clear any...
