An amazing Black-owned restaurant in the Williamsburg area with impeccable service from start to finish. I absolutely love when a restaurant's owner/staff take pride in what they do and fully deliver. I've been wanting to come here for a while now to experience their infamous SunDAY FunDAY brunch experience. Now that I finally made it I see what all the hype is about. GuestHouse surely didn't disappoint whatsoever.
We were greeted with a smile and immediately seated even though we arrived 15 minutes before our reservation time. The brunch menu came out shortly after. Their brunch starts at 1 pm and when we arrived at 2 pm there were only one or two tables occupied. Once my best friend and I started catching up and began sipping on our bottomless mimosas/bellinis, the place filled up before we knew it. They also have a DJ for Sunday brunch (around 3 pm-ish).
Food: We ordered some fries as an appetizer to snack on while we waited for our main course. We decided on the southern fried chicken and waffle for our main course, as per our server's recommendation. Even though the portion was on the smaller side (they could have given two waffles instead of only one), we were really pleased with the presentation and the taste. The boneless chicken was crispy, juicy and seasoned to perfection. One negative is our appetizer came out at the same time as our main course.
Drinks: There are four delicous options. Mango, pineapple and strawberry mimosas. They also have peach bellinis. Their bottomless drinks come in beautiful, pre-made in standard size (750 ml) bottles. They serve them to you with a long straw to fit inside the entire bottle. Although they are pre-made you must drink with caution because they truly sneak up on you. We were so buzzed by the time we left brunch.
We were so pleased with our experience at GuestHouse. We look forward to returning for brunch again, dinner and even...

Read moreLet me first start off by saying the server, even though there was only one, was awesome and kind. The food came out late, but he made it bearable by coming around and serving drinks.
Now comes the truth about the establishment. It must be new, but regardless, if you are paying for service, food, and quality, they must be matched. They are straight robbing people in this restaurant without any shame. Shame on the manager.
Why are you automatically taking $4 for cheese when the meal is advertised as eggs and cheese? Nowhere was I told or stated that cheese is extra. In fact, the menu has cheese & eggs written on it.
For the bottomless brunch, you are getting a bottle of Andre sparkling wine. Look it up; it’s $7 max, and we as customers are paying $50 each for a “bottomless brunch” per person. You won’t be able to finish the whole bottle. If you are using Pulsd, you get to choose what flavors because they pour it in a cheap plastic cup; otherwise, you are stuck with one bottle.
3.The eggs and portions are so small. I'm not sure if it’s because I used Pulsd (which, by the way, came out to literally paying the original price), but the eggs were like they came from a nearby Hilton, and the steak and lamb chops seemed like they were just thrown on some sauce and taken from the frozen food aisle of Costco. I was shocked to see that, being it's a high-priced restaurant, the quality of food was just absurd.
Automatic gratuity for two people? What if the service was bad and we as customers didn’t want to tip as much? Then, once you sign, they ask for a tip again on their mobile pay station. Unbelievable.
My bill came out to a total of $90 with the Pulsd voucher ($29) plus an extra $60 bill, tip, and tax included. I ordered steak and eggs, and lamb...
