First and mostly
Too expensive for family pizza night unless your very well off. But hey I gave it a shot.
In my order i Ordered a Sicilian like I do from all other pizarias in the neighborhood. To my surprise it came like a pizza soup. Lol no joke.
It was a square pie with almost no cheese put on top of crust then a ton and I mean a ton of sauce thrown on top. There was so much sauce it pooled in the middle of the pie and the toppings traveled with it.
The mushrooms were good if they weren't soggy they would have been better.
The other pie was a pepperoni pizza. I have to say it was basic and ok. A little undercooked but not to bad.
Ordered garlic knots apparently they are garlic pinwheels wich was the highlight of the meal. They were quite good.
Overall this order 2 pies 2 order of garlic knots cost me 85.00
3 slices of Sicilian was eaten and the rest will be donated to hungry neighbors who will eat anything. Lol
So it may have been my fault for not researching it more before ordering.
But I still couldn't have anticipated PIZZA SOUP.
** in response to comment by owner. I ordered a Sicilian I didn't even know upside down pizza existed. Like I said probably my fault for not researching you more. But was a soggy mess for sure.
I order pizza once or sometimes twice a week because of a Busy lifestyle.
And when I say expensive I mean any pizzeria comparable is about 25-30 bucks cheaper for 2 pies and 2 order garlic knots.
When I saw pics on reviews I saw your mushrooms truffle and other delicious square pies. I tought I was getting one of those. Not an upside down pie.
People review and love you guys. I wish you the best....
Read moreHole in the wall pizza spot that is my favorite in all of NYC so far for their take on thin crust NY style slices. Their vodka slice, margherita slice and grandma slice are my favorites. I would highly recommend this shop for anyone trying to try pizza in NYC. Not very well known as of yet beyond their own area so it is made with quality and not with haste as many of the well known tourist trap pizza shops have fallen into. If you come, you cannot leave without trying their garlic knot pinwheels stuffed with mozzarella cheese and baked to crispy buttery perfection. The owner and all the workers there are really nice and have even given me free slices towards the end of the night. They are a neighborhood gem and I hope they are here to stay for a long time! I've been a native new yorker for 31 years and hole in the wall gems like this keep the spirit of nyc alive! I look forward to coming here again when I come back to visit :) Did i mention their vodka slice and garlic pinwheel are...
Read moreI recently visited Rome to Brooklyn and was blown away by the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive.
The pizza itself was nothing short of amazing. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way it should be. The ingredients tasted fresh, and each bite was bursting with flavor. Whether you're a fan of classic margherita or enjoy more adventurous toppings, their menu has something for everyone.
The portion sizes were generous, and the prices are more than fair considering the quality. I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu. Highly recommend this spot to all...
