Hiroto Sushi — Restaurant in New York

Terrible experience,

I ordered on UberEats at 11:50PM the timing on the app was showing 40-50 minutes delivery, after placing the order suddenly it changed to 90 minutes, since it was late at night I couldn't wait that long and canceled, I ordered from a different place with normal delivery time.

To my shock I see I was charged for full amount, I emailed Uber, they said the store already prepared the food therefore I'm responsible for paying on full

1. it was 5 minutes after I placed the order and the delivery time was 90 minutes, how's even possible?
2. why when I clicked cancel it didn't ask if I'm sure I want to cancel since I'll be responsible for paying in full? Like Uber rides do.

I'm not happy and am positive this restaurant was not not honest by saying the food was prepared and had to charge in full. I put a request but Uber said they can't do much since the store claims the food was prepared. I'll post a screenshot of the response.

I'll eat the $62 but I'll never order from this place again! Honesty is key...

Hiroto is a great local sushi spot known for its excellent and affordable sushi. The interior is simple, which actually adds to its charm. The menu features a lot of handrolls priced at just $5-6, which is a deal you can't beat in the area. I order from here at least once every other week!

The freshness of the sushi is always on point, and the staff is incredibly nice, making the dining and pickup experience pleasant every time. Hiroto Sushi is a tiny, casual sushi shop near Barclays with seating for 9 people. It serves up rolls and sushi, gyoza, bento, and rice bowls, some noodles. This strikes me as a takeout spot more than an eat in place, where the very casual ambiance rushes you to eat and go.

Shrimp mango, California, yellowtail jalapeño, and salmon avocado rolls were good. Gyoza fresh out of the pan were just what we hoped for. Miso soup was plain and comforting. Prices are very affordable, especially given the location, and service was fast...
