This is a place that my family and I used to attend for many years. Easy to get to, and in a great location in Park Slope. However, many things have changed about this Chinese restaurant, but not for the better. Upon entering the restaurant, it is hard not to notice a SWARM of flies, flying around the main entrance of the restaurant. This is something that is definitely not hard to notice. Even within the restaurant itself, there are small flies flying around, from table to table. The service people were adequately polite. However, the same could not be said for our male waiter. What was appalling to me, was that my daughter noticed a dead bug on the plate of her chicken and broccoli meal. She took pictures of her plate as well as I did. Thus showing the waiter, who did not seem apologetic, but annoyed that we even showed him! He mentioned something in Chinese to the women in the Customer service area. The check came, and I was charged for half the meal, which leads me to ponder? What is it that I missed on MY plate, and what is going on in the kitchen that we, the customers, cannot see? Upon leaving the restaurant, we showed the picture to the Customer service reps, who then apologized for the unsanitary meal that my daughter partially digested. To make amends to what just took place, our lunch was now free of charge. An A grade was posted outside the restaurant's window. Which leads me to question, have the standards for an A...
Read moreI have dined here and ordered takeout from here. The food is overpriced but I like to do my part in supporting local business. My to-go order from last time will not lead me back here again. The customer service isn't doing this place any favors. Ordering to-go, my friend and I walked to the Old Stone House, looking to eat on one of the picnic tables. As we were ready to eat, it turns out they forgot utensils.
We were frustrated, but hey, innocent mistake. We walked back to Hunan Delight to ask for utensils. We were told that they don't offer utensils and pretty much made it seem like it was our fault for not telling them. Getting in touch with the restaurant's social media, we were told they were not offering utensils because they were going "green." This is an obvious lie in trying to be cheap. If they were going green, why would they pack everything in plastic containers? Why were they packed in plastic bags? This made no sense. This is the only restaurant in Park Slope where I have experienced this. I will be visiting other Chinese restaurants that are better and...
Read moreBeen ordering from this place for awhile now. First time today I experienced horrible customer service. Alot of times when i have ordered I have ordered pretty much the same meal. Many times I have received it not how I had asked. But normally when I have called about it I never have a problem with them at all until today. I called on behalf my order being wrong and the women was very rude barely allowed me to speak & hung up. Called a 2nd time and a man answered and was just as rude as the women i previously had spoken to. Mind you I never had a problem because they always worked something out for me though it was their mistake. Today was different... I explained to him what happened about my order being wrong. That I didnt ask for spices in my food & he says to me “we cant read your mind...” They were just completely rude and...
