I have contemplated whether I should write this review or not for a few days but have decided it is the right thing to do. Last week Sunday March 24, I witnessed a disturbing altercation at this location. I, along with every other patron at this location had been waiting over 20 minutes for our orders. I witnessed a patron approach the counter and ask the barista for an ETA on her order. The barista proceeded to rudely tell her that if she didnāt like the wait time she could get a refund and āget the hell outā the patron along with everyone within earshot stood quietly in shock. The barista at one point lost her patience with the iPad she couldnāt operate and went to that back to get who I assume was the shift manager. A petite white or Hispanic woman with black hair. This is when things got scary. This woman yelled obscenities and physically threatened the patron, at one point even demanded to see her phone. The patron stood there pushing back tears while walking backwards because the worker walked towards her threatening physical harm. I contemplated calling the police or mall security but didnāt want to leave the location in case the customer was in fact assaulted. I felt the need to help her given she was in danger. The customer left with a crying child and I left immediately after without my order. There is a disturbing gang mentality in the staff at this location. The owners should prepare themselves for a lawsuit at any point with these employees. I would never return there much less let my wife walk in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwice now Iāve had terrible experiences at this Joe & the Juice, which is a shame since itās such a prime location for me.
The first poor experience, the service was extremely slow - I was the first in line of a long line and I ordered a sandwich, but they made my order after 5 other people in line behind me as they all ordered drinks. The orders should be made first in first out, not based on what you want to make at the time. Itās also worth noting that we all waited for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us waiting in line.
The second time was tonight, where I came in about 20 mins before closing time, but the gal working refused (thatās right, refused!) to make a sandwich. When I asked why she stated āweāre closing soon and itās a 1 person close and per procedure we stop making sandwiches to make sure we can get out of here on time.ā Iāve been in there several times previously with only 1 person working and they didnāt have any issues with making sandwiches, which tells me this gal was both lazy and lied, which I do not appreciate.
I hope the management of this location helps turn around their employees, as itās causing them to lose business. I was warned away from this location by several other people who have also had bad experiences, but now that Iāve also had bad service Iāll be taking my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCustomers beware. If you want to be short changed by employees, then by all means order your juice from this place. When I paid for the juice, the employee gave me back change without explaining why he hadn't given me the full amount. When I asked him how much the juice was, he explained that he didn't have change, although, he had a tip jar full of change. Once the employee rammed the money that was due back to me and he handed over the juice I paid for, this employee along with his co-workers in a sarcastic, loud and intimidating tone stated "Enjoy your drink, bro!" and proceeded to stare at me while I sat in there. What customer service. Short changing your customers is not the way to earn an honest tip. If the employees at Joe & The Juice WTC location want a tip then work on being friendlier, honest and respectful towards...
