I have always wanted to try Korean cuisine and most of the places I ha e been either serve BBQ or noodle soups as their main entrees. I wanted diversity meaning more authentic dishes and choices. So having said that I began researching and found this little dainty place in Northern Boulevard,Flushing Queens. I got to be honest I don't know most of the Korean dishes and the ones I know came from watching Korean food shows on Netflix. To be safe I ordered the Spicy Cod Soup with white rice. It was really good. Maybe because I haven't had any before this!! The one thing that I love about most Korean restaurants is that they aways serve you with these variety of appetizers before the entree. I just enjoy the seaweed salad and cold jelly appetizers. Now I was curious at certain dishes that weren't on the menu and ordered the braised monkfish. I was feeling adventurous. That was a mistake on my behalf. Maybe I wasn't accustomed to the way it was prepared. Overall it was a pretty good meal amd experience. I particular enjoy the little side dishes of tidbits before...
Read moreI'm so glad that I found this place. This is not not a fancy but a wholesome restaurant. I came here after a full stomach. I didn't expect to be able to eat much. I came here because the reviews mentioned how cozy and traditional the food is. There were language barriers but the staff was really sweet. Hot corn tea was served. The side dishes were well seasoned. I couldn't stop eating. I ordered yukgaejang and samgyetang. Yukgaejang was flavorful, not from strong msg but it's noticeable that the broth was simmered for hours. Samgyetang was also delicious, very flavorful. Full of collagen (not even kidding, I had leftovers and the broth was solidified. The only thing was when they served salt/pepper on the side, it was mixed, and I didn't want to bother her with a small thing and ask for a new one). The overall experience was amazing. Definitely will...
Read moreFirst time walking in. There’s two tables, open. One is a corner by the window with the booth seats. The other is right in front of the bathroom. We were directed to the table in front of the bathroom
We figured it should be okay for us to ask about this table which was the same size as the table given to us just different location so I’m assuming the reserving party is 4 or less like us. When asked about the corner table, we were told it’s already reserved.
Strangely there wasn’t anyone else waiting to be seated besides us,
No rating on the food since we walked out.
However it is a quaint little spot. Definitely good atmosphere.
Just we would prefer to not sit right in front of the bathroom door...
