A girlfriend & I went to the late night show, it began promptly at 12:30am and continued straight through, no breaks till after 2:30am. The band was the Fuzz Band out of Hampton VA., the entry was $15 pp what great deal for the dynamic electrifying performances which followed: the band comprised of trumpet, keyboard, bass, guitar, drummer and percussionist-bongo, instruments, while two females and a guy were the vocalists. They were awesome and had us captivated and rockin from beginning to end. If they're performing near you check them out you won't be disappointed they did jazz of course, but also reggae, r&b, ballads and a lot of their new original works. I purchase cd's from them there but they're on ITunes check them out see for yourself. Drinks we had were great handcrafted but wine by glass is limited and prices outrageous, I thought. The service was good but our highlight of the evening was the entertaining...

Kaffe 1668 South is a nice place to have a coffee in TriBeCa. I passed it several times but never noticed it. I discovered it thanks to my friend.
Most of all I adore its ambience and interior. The coffeeshop is literally divided into two salons. There is a huge wooden table where 10-12 people can easily fit in with no intention to make a mess. The second so called area is filled up with separate small tables for couples. The high ceiling and big vans up there maintain a good balance of air in the room. In addition, right by the window there installed a nice wooden bench where 3 people can seat and enjoy their food and have a talk.
As for Coffee, I would score it 8 out of 10 which is very good to my point of view. The same concerns pastry.

Read moreUpon entering, I was greeted by the industrial decor and pleasant smell of coffee. My first impression of the food was from a small glass fridgerator filled with grab and go selections from the menu. Priced a little bit more expensive, I was expecting the prices on the menu to be similar or higher, but was happy to see the prices were reasonable, around $10 an order. Pastries averaged around $3.50-4, and coffee about the same. It was pretty busy while I was ordering my food, and the line creates a bottleneck which traps the person at the register. A little uncomfortable but manageable.
When I visited, there were more people waiting for their food than eating. I remarked to my friend, "do they actually make food?", half joking, half worried we'd never get fed. I turned my head and it arrived. Wait was about 15 minutes on a Wednesday, about noonish. Not too bad.
Good ventilation from having the door...
