Karavan Grill offers an enchanting culinary journey through Central Asian, particularly Tajik, cuisine. From the moment you step in, the ambiance immerses you in the rich cultural tapestry of the Silk Road. The menu is a gastronomic adventure, featuring a symphony of flavors that reflect the region's diverse culinary heritage.
The appetizers, such as the savory Samsa pastries and the refreshing Mastoba salad, provide a tantalizing introduction to the feast that follows. The mains are a celebration of spices and skillful preparation, with dishes like Plov, a fragrant rice pilaf layered with succulent meats and aromatic herbs, showcasing the chef's mastery.
The Tajik Plov is a standout, marrying tender meat with sweet raisins and carrots, creating a delightful interplay of tastes. Each bite is a reminder of the historical trade routes that influenced the region's cuisine, blending influences from Persia, India, and beyond.
Vegetarians are not forgotten, with options like the flavorful Soups and the hearty Mantu dumplings filled with leeks and herbs. The attentive staff is more than happy to guide you through the menu, ensuring a personalized and delightful dining experience.
To complement the meal, Karavan offers a carefully curated selection of teas, enhancing the overall sensory experience. The restaurant's commitment to authenticity extends to its warm hospitality and attention to detail in every aspect of service.

Read moreKaravan is an absolute gem of a restaurant that has quickly become one of my favorite dining spots. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that sets the stage for a truly memorable dining experience.
The menu at Karavan consists mostly of the Central Asian cuisine. Let's start with the shish kebab, which is an absolute must-try. The meat is grilled to perfection, resulting in a tender and flavorsome delight that is simply mouthwatering. Whether you opt for lamb, chicken, or beef, each kebab is bursting with aromatic spices and grilled to achieve that ideal charred exterior while maintaining a juicy interior. It's a true delight for meat lovers!
Another standout dish at Karavan is the lagman. They have both Fried and Sauce Lagman. The homemade noodles are cooked to perfection and served in a rich, flavorful broth that's packed with tender chunks of meat, fresh vegetables, and aromatic spices. The combination of textures and flavors in each spoonful is simply fantastic.
For those craving something on the go or as an appetizer, samsa at Karavan should be your first choice. These delightful pastries are filled with minced meat, onions, and spices, all encased in a perfectly flaky crust.
They have different salads. My absolutely most favorite is their signature “Karavan salad”. The flavor of this salad is unexplainable. You must try it.
The service at Karavan deserves special mention. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to provide recommendations or answer any questions you may have.
The quality of the food, the warm ambiance, and the attentive service all come together to create a memorable experience. I highly recommend Karavan to anyone looking for a taste of Central Asian...
Read moreNow this may seem like a long review but bare with me as I will explain what caused this horrible rating and experience.
Me and my family ( group of 15 ) had the unfortunate experience of dining here on April 8th 2023. It all started when one of the managers explained to us that since we were going to have iftar at Karavan to order in advance. We ordered around 5:30 and we were suppose to break our fast around 7:26 pm. We ended up FINALLY getting our food @7:44 approximately. This was very frustrating and such a horrible experience since we were expecting food to be out during our scheduled iftar time. As I may add we sat down and not once were we offered something to drink.. WE had to ask them for water…… Next the menu states that each platter feeds 4-5 people which is a lie. It only fed maybe 2/3 people MAX. So now it’s time to pay and the bill was $366. Now keep in mind we ordered only 4 platters because we assumed it would feed us all. Immediately we spoke to a manager on duty. He was very dismissive and disrespectful claiming it wasn’t their fault I asked him okay is it our fault ( the customers)? He stated no but as courtesy he will give us a discount…. ONLY AFTER HIS WAITER STATES BOSS PLEASE GIVE THEM 10% Discount. The discount was 30$. Now I’m not one to complain about $$ I understand as a business they have to make their money but there was no empathy or sense of responsibility. Nor even an apology. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!! They are the worst. I would give them 0 star if possible. Complete waste of time money and energy....
