Scale of 1-10 Interior design: N/A Customer service: 1 Food (weighs twice as much): 8 Price: 6
Not a bakery where you can sit in and enjoy so points for the interior design does not apply. So far (in 3 different occasions) I tried their sponge cheese cakes and the cream puffs both are pretty delicious and an experience of it self. Prices are a bit on the high end for the size/portion of the food. Customer service is as bad and terrible as it can get. I bought 9 cream puffs as they had a 3 for $10 deal but they only gave me 8. When I went outside the store I got a feeling they might have stuffed them into the box and broke them so checked both box and found that they put 4 puffs in each box and the 9th one is nowhere to be found. When I went back into the store to tell them they had only given me 8 the girl that was packing them was denying and saying that "I put 9 in the boxes". If you look at the pictures there's no way she could have fit five puffs in one box without crushing them and I got to mention, the cream puffs are extremely fragile and soft. The girl at the register was acting completely lost and didn't know what to do. All they had to do was give me another puff that I paid for instead, both of them are looking at each other and saying that they gave me nine and making me look like I stole one and trying to get another one for free in front of a line full of customers. A guy that was preparing the cakes stepped in and just told them to give me one and the girl that was packing just threw it towards me on the counter. When I asked for a box they said they don't have a box for one puff. They could easily put three puffs in each box and would have been a good presentation. I was buying this for a friend as a gift and now I have one puff without a box that does not look pleasant. Also not sure how they packed it but it was like the cream puffs were leaking liquid, you'll understand what I'm saying when you see the picture. This didn't happen last time I bought the cream puffs. After this incident I won't be going back again as my money will be better appreciated somewhere else.

Read moreWorth the Awkward Wait: The Fluffiest Cheesecake You'll Ever Eat Giving Keki Modern Cake 4 stars is a testament to the sheer, undeniable quality of their famous fluffy cheesecake. This is a classic example of a product being so phenomenal it forces you to overlook significant flaws in the customer experience—but those flaws are certainly present. Let's start with the star: the cheesecake. It is an absolute revelation. The texture is unlike anything else—incredibly light, airy, and bouncy, almost like a soufflé. It’s often served warm, boasting a perfect balance of creamy cheese flavor without being overly sweet or heavy. It truly melts in your mouth and is easily a five-star dessert, justifying the high price tag on quality alone. This cake is genuinely a must-try for any dessert lover. However, the in-store experience is where Keki severely falls short. The space itself is small and poor-looking, lacking the appeal you'd expect from a shop selling a premium product. More critically, the service needs major improvements. Upon entering the tiny store, two counter employees proceeded to completely ignore us. There was no greeting, no eye contact, and the silence was so awkward that I had to ask if the store was even open. For such a pricy product, customers deserve a minimum level of basic hospitality. Ultimately, the quality of the legendary jiggly cheesecake carries the weight and earns Keki four stars. You should absolutely go for the cake, but be prepared for a quick, uninviting, and disappointingly cold interaction. Management needs to immediately address staff training and storefront presentation to match the excellence of what they serve. No room to dine in, no coffee, tee or anything other...
Read moreI have frequented this Chinatown location to buy their bouncy cheesecake, which I find delicious with a moderate level of sweetness. However, my visit today was different. I visited during my lunch hour to purchase both the Ube bouncy and Velvet bouncy cheesecakes for an early celebration of Mother's and Father's Day, including my mother's birthday. I noticed that the newly baked cheesecakes were placed on the left side of the room, which was visible to customers facing the cashier counter. The cashier on the left side was packing the cheesecakes, and I watched her almost hand me the bag containing both cheesecakes. However, upon seeing the screen, she quickly swapped the cheesecakes with the ones placed on the right side of the room, which were baked hours before. Although I intended to refrigerate them, I was aware of the careless switch made by the cashier. It made me suspect that the reason for this switch was my failure to tip her since I usually tip when dining indoors. Since I was picking up the order to-go, I did not include a tip. I find this behavior by the staff unacceptable, and I urge the owner to review the CCTV footage to see how the staff made the quick switch despite having originally given me the first batch of cake. My order was not confusing, as I had asked about the velvet flavor cheesecake shortly after 12 PM. I will update my review of the store after I experience better customer service during...
