KFC — Restaurant in New York

I wanted to leave a positive review after my customer experience today (10/24) at this location thanks to the professionalism and calm courtesy displayed by the young man on the cashier desk.

It was a busy evening around 5 pm, with a line of a half dozen customers and the guy working there had to do everything on his own: take the orders, fulfill them, deal with delivery drivers doing pick ups and do the change at the till.

Any normal person would be flustered at best, stressed to the point of taking it out on customers. This guy was cool, efficient and greeted every customer with friendly cheerfulness, and Southern-inflected good manners. That is rare in NYC.

While waiting on line, I checked all my bank accounts and on seeing this sorry state of affairs, opted for a single menu item. They were all out of this, but he offered an alternative and I was so glad. He was very kind and just that touch of niceness meant a great deal.

Fast food chains like this one thrive on the money we, the customers, spend — yet offer us so little in return. If you believe they aren't making a profit, you're mistaken. This is a franchise operation, competing in the same market space as giants like McDonald’s from the very start. But to compare McDonald’s to this establishment would be not only unfair — it would be embarrassing.

These places are often opened in lower-income neighborhoods, where quality control is overlooked, and customer well-being seems to be an afterthought. Walk in unprepared, and you might find yourself in an ambulance. Why? Because while you're standing in a long, slow-moving line, you're also suffocating from the heat — all because the manager chose to save a few dollars by not turning on the air conditioning. I did not recommend this place to anyone. I came there today and it was terrible decision to buy anything there. I remember the service from few years ago. It was absolutely better than today. Staffs was not oriented and had a communication problem including understanding language. They was nasty to the customers. They weren't friendly and helpful for customers. I think that they don't care about the people orders and you don't have a right to can't complain because they don't like it if you do they yell at you so you can't complain even if you are unsatisfied. The place is dirty with no bathroom. Actually they have a restroom but not in service. You have to check what they give you because you never know if you get the right order.
