I'm usually averse to any kind of food court, but I was curious and famished when I walked out of a long meeting in a warehouse directly across the street. This part of Chelsea seems perennially starved and here were a bunch of options. Kinn seemed like the best bet, after reviewing the other offerings, and I think I was right. They have several veggie options and can make many of their other offerings veggie as well. The food came out quickly and was better than your typical Thai lunch spot. I got the Pad Kraprow, which was good and has some nice heat. The menu is small, focused, which I think helps maintain quality. Two minor complaints, I guess. First: it is still in a food court. This place is good enough to stand on its own. And hopefully it will. Food courts are mildly dystopian. I used to go to a vegan sandwich place up by Penn Station and it was in a food court that also had a lobster place and a steak thing. Plus it was Penn Station. The whole thing was a little ungodly and diminished the experience of those good sandwiches. But what are you gonna do? Second: they charge $1 for condiments like Sriracha and chili flakes. And I just don't know about that.

Well I found my new favorite Thai spot and they are serving up super authentic dishes using their own family recipes. This spot had a mix of classic dishes and new exciting dishes I was able to try for the first time! We loved exploring this menu, here were our meal highlights: 🍆 Pad Ma Kuer: stir fried eggplant, fish sauce, garlic, chilies 🍚 Khao Kruk Kapi (Shrimp Paste Fried Rice): candied pork belly, fried dried shrimp, diced long beans, sour mango, shallots, egg, Thai chili, lime - deconstructed 🍗 Gai Tod: Kinn Fried Chicken with Egg Fried Rice (a must try) 🦐 Drunken Noodles with Shrimp (my absolute fave) 🌿 Pad Kraprow Gai Kai Daew (Basil Chicken): minced chicken, basil, Thai chili, garlic, holy basil & fried egg

Best Thai food in Chelsea, their counter is always super clean, the food smells and taste fresh, they are friendly and sweet, especially Andrew, what a sweetheart! Delicious pad see ew with prawns or chicken, the crab fried rice is a must try, their rich broth noodle soups are packed with flavors and super layered, and they’re probably serving one of the best fried chicken in NYC. I also LOVE their Pork Belly! Great service, fresh ingredients, and bold flavors. Recommend for lunch and dinner!
