Bottom line they were rude, and the portion was tiny for $23, which was abnormal. They were not helpful, in fact "corrected me when I asked for no cabbage, with the classic eye-roll it doesnt come with cabbage, even though thats on the menu." This is hard because most of my experiences here have been really good. This review is specific to the Shawarma place see pics. I have had the food here in the past and it was so good and the portion was overwhelming, this visit however was insane. I ordered a shawarma without pickled cabbage, but the server felt it was the most important part of his day to tell me it doesn't come with cabbage, in this insane world we call NYC where some service industry people feel their only mission in life is to inform you of you being wrong, like some Foucaultian power play where they never miss an opportunity to inform you of your failures when all you want to do is give them money for kind friendly service and food. The server then said just tell me what you don't want on it, with the signature move of what seems to be every food service attendant outside of Japan, the EYE-ROLL. I honestly am starting to think this is part of the training manual now, roll your eyes make the person trying to give you money feel like they are ruining your life by simply existing or trying to purchase food from you. BONUS it was $23 see pics to see what this buys you in NYC and reconsider if you want to still be an artist here and if you really do need a trust...

I finally checked out Olly Olly Market, and it’s such a fun and unexpected little spot tucked away in Manhattan West. It’s like a cool, curated food hall where every stall is actually good—no filler spots here!
I loved the vibe—modern, industrial-chic, but still super casual and welcoming. There’s everything from amazing burgers and ramen to oysters and creative cocktails. It’s perfect if you’re with a group and everyone wants something different. I had a little bit of everything and honestly… no regrets.
Great place to grab lunch, hang out after work, or even start your night out. It’s chill but has that “in-the-know” NYC energy.

Read moreMe and my family took a long walk at Chelsea Piers and needed a place to relax and refresh ourselves. We saw Olly Olly and decided to enter. My baby cousin (12 M) does not like being out. He loved it here! So we decided to stay and eat. There were so many options but 1 place caught me and my husband’s eye, Sweet Face.
My God thank goodness we chose this place. Jay was so sweet and helped us choose the best sides for my meal. I got the brisket plate and it came with a good amount of food. The cucumber salad and mixed greens were so refreshing, the brisket melted in my mouth and was so flavorful, and the sweet potatoes were nicely seasoned and soft. My husband got the brisket bahn mi, he’s a picky eater at times and he rated the sandwich a 9/10. Keep in mind that we are military and have traveled to many places to try foods and he very rarely rates anything above a 6 or 7.
100% recommend Sweet Face, their presentation and service was amazing. It’s refreshing to have someone so nice in the city. Keep up the...
