This place is an absolute must-try if you enjoy ramen, or just a very good restaurant experience. From start to finish, we had an incredible time at Kyuramen. We were seated right away at lunch time on a weekday and were brought to our own enclosed booth with a curtain. The servers were extremely friendly and patient, and also made sure to clarify our order after taking it. If you need to call the server back at any point, there is a button on the table.
The atmosphere of this dining room is unmatched. Whether it's the branded plates, the jet black cutlery, or the calming nature of the enclosed space, we were really impressed with it all. Also worth mentioning, there are two unisex bathrooms at this location.
The food brought everything together and matched the high quality of the dining room. I was with two other diners and we all ordered various options from the menu to sample. This was my first time in the dining room, but I have ordered their teriyaki rice burger in the past and had always loved it. It did not disappoint this time, either. Very flavorful, good portion sizes, and gloves were provided to keep hands clean - something I rarely see in US restaurants! All three of us were extremely satisfied with the quality and presentation of all the dishes we ordered.
Along with a full food menu, they also provide various desserts and teas, like milk tea or fruit juices. I ordered the Ube crepe cake and was blown away by how delicious it was.
I will continue to dine at this restaurant and have already recommended this place to multiple friends and family. Give this place a try, you will...
Read moreThe vibes of this place were amazing, they have these sort of private booths that make your experience a lot more private and leveled up. Although at some locations they have actual honeycomb booths, we only had just regular box ones, but i really loved the atmosphere. The food was definitely good, but I have had better elsewhere. I got the agedashi tofu (was good, but sort luke-warm, and not enough umami flavor), chili garlic edamame (was sorta mediocre in flavor but still good), side of ramen noods, vegetable dumplings (they were sort of lacking in flavor) cherry blossom jelly (so refreshing and yummy never had anything like it), and then I got a mango mille cake (was not very sweet, and the mango chunks inside were a little off putting). I also got the dragon fruit milk foam drink, which just imagine how flowers smell and thats how it tasted. The one thing i would say about this place is the service is kind of below average. Because you are in a private booth they don't know when you need something or whatever so you have this little thing to press buttons for certain things, but whenever we would press the button it would always take them 5+ minutes to come over so we ended up having to wait quite a bit because we had to wait to order, wait to order dessert, and wait to...
Read moreI recently visited Kyuramen on the Upper West Side with my daughter Novelle, and it was a dining experience to remember! From start to finish, every dish was a delight.
We started with the honeycomb platter, which included the lobster & Chashu salad ball I’ve been eager to try. It did not disappoint! Novelle absolutely loved their shrimp tempura – crispy and perfectly cooked. The Yuzu shio chicken ramen was a standout with its tangy and citrusy broth that left a lasting impression. It’s the perfect combination of flavors that I still think about!
My personal favorite was the eel kamameshi. The sauce they use is unbelievably good – you just have to try it yourself to understand! We also indulged in the yakitori platter, which was another highlight of our meal. To top off our culinary adventure, we ended with the matcha tiramisu. While the portion was on the smaller side, it was delicious and left us wanting more.
Overall, Kyuramen provided a fantastic dining experience with its flavorful dishes and welcoming atmosphere. If you’re in the Upper West Side, do yourself a favor and check them out. You...
