yet another reason to hate mondays .... La Fe is closed! now there's REALLY no reason to get out of bed that day. every other day, this is my routine: I wake up and wearily wonder where I am... I groggily wrestle for a moment with my decision to move from Williamsburg to Woodside... and then I remember. La Fe! it's possible that La Fe represents EVERY reason to move from Williamsburg to Woodside. what is lovely about La Fe: their coffee? simple. good. hot milk. cinnamon if u like. (I like.) their pastries? donuts..Latin style sweet breads..sprinkles..bagels...omgosh the daily (HUGE) slices of chocolate cake! not too sweet. impossibly perfect. savory foods? so good. Latin style meals.. like rice and chicken. posole. My mother has been coming here well over a decade, the people who work here are very accommodating and beyond helpful. It’s an order at counter and sit service, they still make sure you have everything in case you decide to eat in. I bring my wife and family here often whenever I have the opportunity because the food is so good! Great breakfast and daily specials they write on the menu board that is visible on your left hand side besides ordering counter. I’ve had so many different plates and soups I can’t even recall them all only thing I can remember is how much I enjoy every meal all the time. I love supporting small businesses and come here to order birthday cakes all the time. The girl that took my order this time was very rude. I told her specifically that I wanted the colors of a picture I showed her and that i wanted the cake to have flowers on top. When the cake was getting picked up at the time we agreed, the cake was not ready. We had to wait about 15 minutes. When I got home the cake looked nothing like what I had shown the girl. The colors did not match at all, There were no flowers. She took a picture of the cake I had as reference, so at this point all I can say is that they just don’t care, the cake itself was delicious, but I don’t think these girls should take cake orders.
