Recommend not to go Thamel bar.coz they add u xtra money on ur bill, they charged me with 5 xtra draft beer which I didn’t drink , ( keep in mind, I went alone) n charged me with 18% gratuity ( which on website they clearly states 5 ppl over 18% gratituty) i don’t mind paying 18% if The service was gud . Most ridiculous thing was they charged me $3.59 by paying with my crdt crd, ( Which i wanted to pay wit cash) but they asked my crdt card bfr ordering my drink). N charged $60 jus for 2 shots of drink ( in menu the highest price is $12 for one shot of drink) don’t know wat to say. We bieng Nepali try to support our Nepali bar, but if they treat u like this how can we go next time or recommend ur friends.if it was mistake might b on 1 category but they charged me xtra on all 4 category, which is not mistake it’s by purpose.don’t know, whom to blame,,, management or to bar tender ? Read moreWe were there multiple times before but Yesterday 11/12/2022 Saturday in between 12am to 12:35am it was not even 35 mins we had very bad experience ever in this place. Server called SANGITA, was behaving us in a very disrespectful manner. They made us move around 4 different tables within like 10-15 mins. There were not even so many people at that time. After we ordered, we were just eating our snacks and all of sudden after 10 mins they told us to move again mentioning that table where we were sitting was reserved. They should have let us know that table was reserved before they fixed out sittings there. There was communication issue within their crew member too, sangita told us to move in the table where there was already a customer and when we moved to that table, a girl customer was mad at us and also a guy server came over us arguing without knowing the situation so it made us feel so upset when we were not even giving a hard time. Management should take this things seriously, all crews need to learn what customer service is. It’s not one day Business. We can see the crowds before and now. And this the question why? Read moreSo I went to Thamel around a month back on a Friday evening. It was my 2nd time going there, so I am a fairly new customer. I feel like the staff there are biased towards the people they know and have no concern about the new customers. The bartender was busy gossiping with his customer friends about something, rather than taking an effort to come over and take my order, even after waving my hand toward him multiple times. In addition to the awful customer service, it was very humid inside the bar, due to which the AC was leaking and drops of dirty water fell in my drink. I reached out to the owner, who was present in there at that time. I let him know, and his response was that its hot, so it happens, can't do anything. Not even a single apology about it, or anything about 'sorry its a technical issue, we will look into it' or anything. This is seriously unacceptable. And its all kinds of unsanitary violation to let such a thing happen.
