I literally order take out here multiple times a week, for both lunch and dinner (usually get one entree for lunch and one to take home after I leave office). I have the lamb shank and risotto 3-4 times a week (best risotto and lamb is super moist and flavorful), and also like the pappardelle with short rib ragout.

Not only is everything they make fresh and delicious, but it’s absolutely mind blowing how great of a value it is even if you were in the surrounding boroughs, let alone in midtown east. If they had a more visible location I think they’d be a go-to for everyone in the neighborhood (as they should). They also make “family size” versions of several pastas and entrees, which are a tremendous value both for a family and even for 1-2 people to have during the week to heat up when you feel like having pasta throughout the day.

I can’t believe how they’re managing to turn a profit at the prices they charge — but I will keep returning, even if they go up. It’s...

Nice little neighbor place. It's small but quiet so you can have a nice conversation. Regularly it has a pre fixe menu available. We went during Restaurant Week. We ordered shrimp salad, eggplant Parmesan, tomato toast, short rib over polenta, branzino, and gnocchi. They have fancy Italian names on the menu but this was easier. My selection of eggplant and gnocchi was great. The gnocchi had a nice chewy texture. All three flavors were excellent. Nice size portions. I wouldn't order the short ribs even though it was good because it was just three pieces of meat over the polenta. The branzino was also very tasty. No fishy odor or taste. It was well seasoned. They only have one waiter and I think he was the owner. Service was prompt and attentive. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. Many times the bathrooms don't have paper towels or toilet paper is all over the floor. This place keeps it...

WHAT in the world are all of you talking about? This is NOT great food. It tasted.. in fact it looked like hospital food. Each of our 5 meals was mediocre. To wit: The gnocchi had no flavor. The branzino could easily have come from a bag of frozen tilapia. A chicken dish that was so weak we laughed at it (since it was so tough we couldn't cut it) The vegetables and potatoes were so uniform across all plates that it seriously looked as if they had all been laid out for serving at my old high school cafeteria. Even the bread was tasteless. Nice enough server, not her fault. But once again, they over promise and under deliver. And all of you who post unrealistic or even impossibly positive FAKE REVIEWS share the blame in enticing unsuspecting victims into these substandard establishments. Children could make me a better dinner in an easy bake oven. Nonsense, DISinformation, and...

My friend and I came here while visiting back in May and I’ve not stopped thinking about our meal since. We got the bruschetta and the insalatina tricolore to start and both were incredible. I’m not the biggest fan of bruschetta or salads but I devoured my share of both. They were so so good and flavorful. I also ordered the calamarata ai frutti di mare and that was in its own league. The pasta texture was amazing, the sauce was so good, and the different seafoods complimented each other unexpectedly well. We ordered so much food and despite being so full already after our starters, we ate every last bite of our mains. I can not recommend this place enough.

Went here to dinner with my family, it was a pleasant surprise to find such good Italian food near to our hotel! The place is little but also cozy and really comfortable, the staff was very sweet and the food was worth the price (that is not too high for the new york's prices, with what I payed for a sandwich yesterday, I was able to eat a full plate of pasta here)! Another thing is obviously that the water refills are free of charge and so is the bread, we just got some Tagliatelle and Lasagne but maybe next time we'll be able to order some appetizers(we were in a rush). It closes at 11pm and I highly recommend it if you find yourselves in the block!
