Great food. Friendly staff. Quaint cozy space. It's small but cozy. - that first sentence is what I wrote a year ago. But my visit just recently was not great. My husband was disappointed in his eggplant rollatini appetizer two little tiny rollatinis came out and for the price they charged that played should have been a lot bigger. My arugula Walnut goat cheese salad came out with not one stitch of goat cheese anywhere to be found on my salad which was $10 from the appetizer and the most expensive ingredient was nowhere to be found. For dinner I ordered the Involtini di Pollo the first piece I tried to cut was hard as rubber. It tasted like very distinct freezer burn after taste every single bite! Lord knows how long it was sitting in a refrigerator getting more stale and they took it out and put it in the oven and put it on my plate like it was freshly made. And lastly they gave us the dessert menu and the menu had Napoleon, when we tried to order it the waiter said, "we don't have that anymore." And I said well it's on the menu and he said, *we haven't had that dessert in a really long time here.", so I said then why didn't you take it off the menu already? Seriously, take a black Sharpie and just cross it out. I've seen restaurants do it, if you don't want to invest in reprinting a new menu. Ironically when you look at the menu online it's a tad bit different, for instance my salad shows that it's $9 and it only has arugula and walnuts, but in the actual restaurant menu showed arugula walnuts and goat cheese and it was for $10 pretty expensive for a salad especially when not one stitch of goat cheese was anywhere in my salad. So I have to say I'm very disappointed as well as my husband because he didn't enjoy his chicken cutlet Parmesan dinner either. It still has that cozy feel and the waiter was very accommodating it's just their food and their menu was a very big...

We went to have dinner on a Saturday. The waiter was very friendly and had a positive attitude. The food is not what I expected, but it is edible. The only problem is the attitude of the two young waitresses who work there. Apparently they wanted to leave at about 9:30 pm. My friend was enjoying her dinner and the waitress without asking they removed her plate and wanted to do the same to me, while I was still eating with a very aggressive attitude, the two young waitresses practically kicked us out of there, we weren’t finishing our glass of wine having a conversation and one of the waitresses came to take our wine away saying that they are closing,I would not recommend this place and for obvious reasons I would never go back there. It is sad that the owners of the restaurant do their best to keep the restaurant in service and the negative attitude of the waitresses scares the customers. Now I understand why the restaurant is empty on a Saturday. It wasn’t busy it was two tables only . As I said, we hadn't finished our glass of wine before they removed it from the table, and started sweeping up. and we had to leave. I felt very...

I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt it my obligation to write one because the high rating this restaurant has is very misleading. I went on a date with my girlfriend and the service and experience could not have been worse. While our waitress was very friendly, it took forever to get anyone’s attention when we needed anything and we were basically on our own for the entire evening. The veal I ordered was not fresh and tasted rubbery and vile, but no one was around to take the dish back for almost 20 minutes. When they brought me a new dish, it was missing one of the main ingredients and was not very good. The receipt they brought charged us for both dishes I ordered, and after I pointed this out, they brought me a second receipt that still contained the charge for both dishes. I had to wait another 10 minutes or so to flag down the manager and get a third, final receipt without the spoiled veal charge included. Overall the experience was awful and it ruined the ambiance of the evening. I will never return to this restaurant and if you don’t want to ruin your evening, I strongly recommend you...

All Access Transportation held our employee holiday gathering at La Locanda. One employee recommended this authentic, Italian spot in Brooklyn. It was phenomenal from the food to the service. It was warm and cozy. Our party was only 10 but we ordered many dishes from the menu. Stand-outs are the fried calamari and grilled octopus for appetizers. I ate the White Fish Rollitini. It was outstanding. The bread basket was rustic and what you could expect to get in Europe. The portions are perfect and also what you could enjoy in Europe. There is a full bar and there was a pretty decent wine section. It wasn't too extensive but I opted for Montepulciano. It was excellent. Desert stand-outs were the amazing, homemade yogurt pie and tiramisu. We loved our waiter and were treated royally. We will be back.

If you’re looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in Brooklyn, look no further than Cono’s restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with the utmost kindness and hospitality, making us feel right at home. Unlike many places that claim to be Italian but fall short, Cono delivers true Italian flavors. Every dish we tried was perfectly crafted, rich in taste, and reminiscent of a meal you’d enjoy in Italy. The passion and attention to detail in the food are unmatched, and the service is impeccable. This is a place that truly understands and respects Italian cuisine. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience the real thing!
