La Union — Restaurant in New York

I normally wouldn't do this, but there's this one lady who works there who's ridiculously rude, lazy, dirty, and sleazy. Light skinned, heavy-set hispanic lady. How she manages to keep her job at a restaurant with those traits is way beyond me!

I walked in to see her handling food with her bare hands. Those same hands were handling dirty rags to wipe down the counter. She speaks to you without looking at you as if she's too good for her job, and then takes her time to ask what you'd like, as if I'm standing by her counter to just stare at her.

The meal was fine- chicken crackling with white rice and a nice lime sauce for the chicken. I forgot about my disliking the lady.

I walk up to the counter and put my credit card out. Again, she looks at me ready to pay and she continues to clean as if I'm at the counter just to look at her. After she got done wiping down the counters, she walked up to me to charge my card. Before charging it, she says it's 15.12. No problem. She brings me a receipt charging me 16.64. The money part is not an issue. I traditionally tip no less than 15%. But being a person of principle, I asked why'd she charge me more. She tells me the bill came out to 15.50 plus 1.50 tax. Again. It's not the amount. It's the principle. I calculated the 11.50 for the meal plus the 2.50 for the drink (which her coworker said was 2.00) plus 8.875% tax. That equals 15.24. And when I showed it to her, she tells me that I'm accusing of her of stealing from me. I said no, not at all. I was simply trying to understand the math cause it didn't add up. Rather than apologize for the error, she made up about 8,000 excuses to justify why she charged that amount, one of which was "the machine automatically charges more", and insulted me for inquiring about the additional charge.

I don't care about the amount of money. But to insult a customer who's simply inquiring about the charges is unacceptable. I would never go back there, and hopefully none of my friends or family do either. Go to Costa Verde just a few blocks down. The food is great, and they care about their customers.

PS- I’m convinced she reuses the same sauce her customers left...

They don't work with dash door or grub hub or any other delivery service so if you deliver around you've got to go to pick up the food. Then, the place is empty and looks like no one was there in centuries and the food... well, I ordered chaufa special the big one and NO TASTE AT ALL and it is expensive and has no taste and they dogive you extra soy aauce., then I also ordered KamLu Wantan and the meat is full of bones and the wantan was burned and hard to chew., then I also ordered jalea and the yuca was hard,really hard to eat and the seafood wasn't well done, it supposed to be crunchy but this one was all fluffy... In conclusion it was a mess NOT HAPPY WiTH THEM, NEVER MORE and WILL NOT RECOMMeND THE PLACE, besides its really expensive and it's not worth...

Ordered the tallarin with beef and tallarin with shrimp. First of all, instead of the shrimp thry gave chicken. They gave no soy sauce on the side. The noodles had absolutely no taste.
