Lena's Italian Kitchen (UES) — Restaurant in New York

THIS COMMENT IS AFTER MY PRIOR POST OF 1 STAR WHICH I NEED TO RESEND.....Regardless. ...a call was made to the location for a togo order and was directed to Ubereats for delivery. MY COMPLAINT SHOULD BE WITH UBEREATS AND NOT LENA'S. Food was never delivered by Ubereats and when calling the restaurant location regarding delivery the manager quickly blamed the Uber App for the poor service...WHICH NOW I UNDERSTAND IS CORRECT. When I asked for the driver(s) information he stated that he knew but could not act on this complaint because it deletes after pickup. Management sent a new delivery of food to my daughter's location and has gone above and beyond....which I may add, I am so lucky that management had superpowers to know that I was not in my right frame of mind via the phone conversation, Management was a pro in handling the situation. First time ordering- we had chicken parm heroes which my son requested for his birthday lunch. First of all I love that there are so many choices to customize the sandwich - extra cheese, sauce, toasted or scooped bread, and others. Delivery was on time and perfectly hot. My son, who is very picky about his chicken parm as am I, pronounced it the best chicken parm. Chicken perfectly seasoned and fried, a perfect amount of great-tasting sauce, cheese melted to perfection, and crispy toasted bread. The Caesar salad was fresh and refreshingly crisp, the right amount of dressing, cheese, and croutons - but you can customize those also - and get it chopped. I can’t wait to order again. I’ve been following Lena’s Kitchen on Instagram for years and have ALWAYS wanted to try it. I came here on my lunch break, and ordered the Chicken Parm ENTREE. I assumed for the price of $21 that it would come with PASTA…….I was wrong. I got back to my workplace to eat it and i was beyond disappointed!!! All i got was literally the chicken parm and loads of cheese, and a hair in the entree……..absolutely not worth the $21. The attendant could’ve made me aware of a lunch special available because the chicken parm hero would’ve been the same thing as the entree, except with more food and LESS MONEY. i’d rather go to an Italian restaurant, i’d rather choose Olive Garden and order my chicken parm with pasta and salad then go to Lena’s again. beyond...
