Lily bloom is a great spot for chinese bakery goods. I love that they have joong or the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf. It's so good! When I buy it and it happens to still be warm, I'm tempted to just open it and bite into it.
People generally come in for the Portuguese egg tarts because Lily Bloom does not make regular egg tarts. However, their Portuguese egg tarts are definitely worth the hype. I've heard that people generally have to place an order for 6 otherwise the Portuguese egg tarts gets sold out before they can buy it. However, that's not always the case. Read moreLily Bloom and and its parent store, Xin Fa, have been around for almost a decade. Last time, I visited this location was six years ago. After all these years, they still make some of the best Portuguese egg/custard tarts. The pastry is well done and crispy, and the tart itself is full and filling!
Couple that with a cup of HK Style Milk Tea and you have the perfect afternoon tea and pastry combo! The HK Style Milk Tea is freshly brewed and made to order which on a cold or rainy day is perfect!
The Taro Fruit Cake is also surprisingly well crafted. The cream is smooth, the taro filling is amazing (actual taro and not just cream), and the fruits are sweet!
I will return to try out their other food and drinks. Overall, it’s...
