My experience here was beautiful (customer service, the owner, Michelle and the well curated space to make any of us feel pampered in a casual, cozy, homey little boutique salon. This was just what I needed! I have coarse curly hair that needed a lot taken off- I feared the usual up-bounce and added thickness that happenes after cutting off so much length. I generally don’t look forward to salon visits but I felt at home here- and that could be honest and was being listened to! Michelle asked me how I truly liked to wear (or WANTED to wear my hair)- She listened carefully and even addressed the fact that I have to wear my hair pulled back for work each day, saying she would give me some fun peices to frame my face to play with. I left BEYOND happy- knowing I had found my new stylist. But then, what is even better is that her choices of cut on my curls were so thoughtfully chosen, I don’t even feel the need to straighten my hair each day after this visit! She had blown it out on the day of the cut - in the way that I told her I wanted it to look but it was when I first washed it myself and let the curls happen did I realize what she had done. I am back to wearing it with its natural curls! I’m so grateful for not having the flat iron on my “to-do list” each night after work. Not worrying about a blowout is something I haven’t had in decades. I’m a wash and go after her cut. Nothing but compliments from friends and fam! Next-...
Read moreA true LUXE Beauty Bar/Spa experience, with caring & personalized attention! I finally found my new Salon in Queens!
'Bigger' does not always equate to 'better', as this Salon, (as well as its lovely petite Owner/Lead Stylist) clearly proves!
The attention to detail actually starts 'outside', where a beautiful lavishly designed floral display greets you to enter! Inside, every inch of the space is appointed wisely, with comfortable seating, fresh flowers, & sunlight streaming in! There's a selection of high end products for sale (many nature based/environmentally conscientious). Everything is new, clean, & smells fresh, with scented candles to set the vibe, & put you at ease for whichever specialty services you selected.
The owner is kind, as well as a true professional. The experience she wants you to have is CLEAR start to finish. Its all in the details, & service. Having worked in some of the top hotels in NY, & exposed to the best Spas available, I have no doubt that with her personal attention to detail, creativity, & quality, shell have the 'midas touch' with all of the Specialty Salons she opens and oversees going forward.

Read moreI came here a year ago as a first-time client with Michelle, hoping to find a local curly hair salon after years of going into the city. Based on the great reviews, I felt confident—but I regret the decision.
After getting highlights, I noticed visible brush strokes from the bleach, something that should never happen with an experienced colorist. I immediately turned around and went back, especially since I had engagement photos the next day (something I led with in our initial conversation). She dismissed my concerns, claiming the color would “settle” (which is not true), but did attempt to fix it. At that point I had been at the salon for 4+ hours and decided to leave it how it was, despite it still not looking good.
A year later, I’m still dealing with the damage—my highlights remain uneven and I’ve spent hundreds trying to correct the color. She did offer a partial refund, which is why I initially held off on leaving a review, but the long-term impact has been frustrating. Also, my hair was left frizzy and poorly styled, which has never happened at other curly salons. If you’re particular about your curls and color, I’d proceed...
