I’ve been coming to this coffee shop nearly every day since I moved back to the neighborhood in November. The coffee is delicious and well-crafted by a highly capable team, and there’s a good variety of breakfast and lunch staples to fill up on while enjoying the clean and calm atmosphere. Seasonal creations are always gracing the food and beverage menus that feel unique and thoughtful. While these are all marks of a quality café in the city, the Manhattanville team continues to take things a step further by creating a space that fosters community. There is genuine warmth from every staff member felt when you walk in, and it permeates the entire space. Every detail of service seems to matter and is handled without any pretentiousness. Manhattanville is better value than Chipped Cup (still downtown prices, mind you). Quality is high. I’m a fan of both the espresso (thick and rich) and the drip (doesn’t taste burnt or overly acidic).
