Update: I emailed them, they haven’t responded, I don’t think they respond, they just reply to google comments just to make it seem like they care about customer satisfaction.

I had to give this a 1 star. I decided to try Naya for the first time after finding out they had some halal items.

#1: Price listed in the store, is not the same as they charged me, shouldn’t they update the price listed?

#2: They apparently ran out of spoons, I was intending on eating inside the store, how does a restaurant run out of plastic spoons or even forks??? How can I eat the food I just bought, with my hands? Do they not have plastic spoon/fork inventory in the back, or do they just want to take me as some joke and decided to not give me any utensils.

Really bad management imho, and super bizarre how a restaurant ran out of fork AND spoons?

Anyways, I had to take the food home, it became cold, and not as tasty, frankly this will be the first and last time I come to Naya.

Halal carts sell combo over rice for $7-9, while they don’t give you as much topping, you do get a whole lot of more meat for 2/3 of the price.

The bowl I got was basically a salad with a side of Rice...

One of the best lunch options in the FiDi area - I get it at least 1-2 times per week. It’s healthy, fresh, and you actually get what you pay for (looking at you, $15 iceberg lettuce salads).

It can be daunting looking at the menu if you don’t know what you want but here’s a pro tip if you’re not prone to food allergies: pick a protein and then get every topping! (It’s all priced on the bowl/wrap and protein)

You pick a bowl or wrap, rice/greens grain, salad, protein (falafel, chicken or kefta shawarma are must tries), and fresh amazing toppings like babba ghannouj (roasted eggplant dip), Greek yogurt, hummus, cucumbers, onions, pickled turnips, and tahini sauce.

It’s not oily or reheated like fast food, salty like chipotle or halal carts, and most importantly...

This is first time I am reviewing anything on google but I had to post a review of this place. I was very excited when I found this on google maps and went there with my wife and kids after visiting the Statue of Liberty. However the behaviour of the staff was extremely rude to us as if they were doing us a favour by taking our money. We had a feeling we were not welcome there. On my question regarding the salad dressing and sauces they had the lady servicing us did not want to answer and seemed she did not want to be there at all. Even the cashier was not friendly at all. I have to say the food was good however I would not be coming back to a place that even with great food does not make me and my family feel welcome....

My absolute favorite lunch destination at work. I get cravings for the delicious Kafta Lamb Kebabs unless I get to eat them once a week. The bed of vermicelli rice is familiar enough yet slightly different to pique curiosity of your palate. Toppings of hummus, baba ghannouj, and garlic spread are must haves. Be warned - the onion parsley mix is somewhat strong, and the jalapeños are outright spicy (and I say this as someone culturally familiar with hot and spicy). When I want to try something different from the lamb kebabs, I go for the falafels. Both options above go equally well with the bowl, the salad, or the wrap.

I ordered a Naya bowl ($11+) with rice, vermicelli and chicken shish kebab. Toppings included hummus, garlic whip, diced tomatoes, pickled red cabbage, onion salad and pickled onions. The order also comes with pita bread. The food is fresh and very delicious. The food tastes more like a marriage between chipotle and Mediterranean food. The portion size was good, it could be 2 meal portions for someone like me. It’s usually crowded and long lines during work week, but it’s worth the wait. Make sure you’re ready with your order because the line moves fast.
