I might be a little biased at the moment because of the grand opening promo - 50% OFF ALL HOT AND COLD FOODS, however the quality of food, offerings, staff and location are top notch.

Because I felt like be a fatty I ordered:

The wake up wrap $4.50, this was surprisingly good and I would even get it again at regular price lol The wrap had scrambled eggs, extra crispy bacon, melted American cheese, home fries and salsa. I could only finish half, saving room to tackle the pancakes I also greedily decided to get....

Pancakes with fresh fruit $5.25, these were okay... a little tough, I expected them to be more airy and moist but the fruits were perfectly ripe :) at the half price I paid, I can't really complain but I probably will try other things first before ordering this again.

Large iced latte $4.95, this was a bit weak but was good. I think I'll try it again when they get things in order. It's day one and the staff is still getting used to things. Drinks were not included in promo price.

In total I spent a little over $8 and I expect to take advantage of this during...

Nasty cook. My girlfriend and I went to Essen for lunch. We ordered two Turkey Cheeseburgers. The cook ignores you until he is ready to acknowledge you whether he is busy or not. It took him 20 minutes for the burgers to be taken off only after I asked why so long. They pack it up and the fries are ice cold because they were sitting out the whole time he was cooking the burgers. We asked to please have them replaced with hot ones which I'm not sure if they understood , and you would think we asked for gold. He immediately made a face as if we were stupid and then when my girlfriend explained again and he started making motions with his hands like Blah Blah Blah. I stopped him and asked if he had a problem and he replied this is fast food what do you expect. If I wanted fast food I would have gone to McDonalds and probably been treated much better. I will make sure everyone in my firm is aware of this nonsense and never go back there. When I reached the counter to pay and asked for the manager I was told no one knew where he was. Figures so I decided to get his...

Huge selection of items and the food here is mediocre to quite good. The prices are also fair for the area. It was an easy choice to go here with a group who wanted a bunch of different things or if you were not sure exactly what you wanted. The reason I'm off this place for good is the staff. The servers/preparers behind the counters are some of the nastiest folks you will ever meet! If you go here, prepare to be ignored and talked down to. Not only with this place NOT even try to make the customer happy, I'm convinced they have some twisted pool to see how many folks they can turn off to the join in a single day. There are a ton of other food options in the area with staff who legitimately try to make the customer happy. I'm mot tough to please and don't generally leave bad reviews and certainly don't base a bad review on a single experience. The staff here needs to pursue careers as weather station monitors in Nome Alaska. It suits their people...

The prices at Essen are ridiculous and not worth it at all for the quality of the food here. I paid 8 dollars for entirely overcooked soup. This is supposed to be CHICKEN NOODLE. Where the noodles at? Oh thats right you cooked the soup for so long that the noodles broke into tiny soggy fragments. You also cooked the soup for so long that the chicken is extremely tough and hard to bite through. It’s actually pretty nasty and unpleasant, I won’t be able to finish even half of this. Someone here needs to revisit their cooking skills. You’re making food for people not for animals, remember that. Cook it with a little love geez.

Another win for the food for all app! I consider myself very lucky to be able to pick up a delicious, nutritious ample bowl of spicy pork, cabbage and rice for a fraction of the cost via the food for all app. The portions are really generous and the spicy is indeed spicy. I am here at off hours of 8 PM, even though this place is conveniently open 24 hours. It’s like I have the place to myself and the s bowl is just one of the selections available at a discounted price. Thank you so much for joining the app, and for being part of not just the slow food movement but the stop-food-waste movement.

We were tempted by their "healthy slow food" description but I was not impressed. The choice is good. Though no description of what you are choosing from a buffet so probably not the best for a fussy eater. Some dishes were nice, some were average. But the place is very pricey, especially, that there is nowhere to sit so you end up with a take away (there were a few tables on site only. Despite it being not busy at all, no one seemed to be interested in cleaning them). Maybe I would give it more stars if it wasn't so expensive for what you get..
