New Fu Shen — Restaurant in New York

Arrived with a party of 11, was seated quickly with the waitresses linking tables to keep most of the group together. Service was fine initially, however things really hit the fan when I was served my food.

I ordered the Black Pepper Sirloin, the server came with a chart showing the different colors, and I physically selected the desired doneness by pointing to medium rare .

When my steak came out it cut it open to find that it was actually purple. Shared the news with my table, shared a few chuckle, then notified the staff of the issue.

The staff looked at the steak, and tried to tell me that what I was seeing was in fact medium rare (important to note that everyone at the table ordered the same and none of theirs bled purple). After a minute of them trying to gaslight me and my table, they offered to take to back to the grill to finish it, to which I accepted.

Now if all that wasn't enough of a kick, it came out a few minutes later with the meat clearly shrunken in size by at least half. The plate too hot to touch. The meat gray as concert. They had clearly chucked my steak into the microwave.

I choose not to make this a bigger issue as the restaurant had filled up at this point. Admittedly the food tasted fine, the sauce they poured on top of everything was pretty awesome. But splitting the bill at the end alongside a undeservingly chucky tip definitely did not leave a good taste in my mouth.

All this happened nearly a year ago. I would hope their services improved by now but I will not be coming back to verify.

tldr. Staff tried to gaslight me into thinking my purple steak was medium rare, then fed it to the microwave; shrinking the ~$20 piece of meat in half.

Pros -Good atmosphere and decor -steak sauce went well with the noodle and egg

OMG! this place is terrible. Disgusting service, the waitress we had was the worst. Their water cups are small, I take a gulp and it's finished. They don't even refill it. I think they want you to buy soda. But what if you don't drink soda? Damn! Their food is decent, but the service is the worst. Our server was such a b. She kept ignoring us and talking to some people at the other table. The b should be fired and never be able to serve in any restaurant. She was racist, because we were brown people she treated us bad. I know she is a foreigner and doesn't know better. You shouldn't hire ignorant people like that. Again food is okay, but the service sucks As*. When we were done with our meal. We asked for the dessert menu. She said they don't have any dessert. Then we asked her that there was Häagen-Dazs ice cream in the menu. Then she said Oh okay. She got a small Haagen dazs cup and dropped it on our table, like a savage! With no spoons. Damn! One of the worst...

Came in today and we were groups of 4, we were told a 5minute wait but ended up waiting for a whole 20minute. Later on when we are finish looking at minute we waited for a whole 5minute to catch their attention because they were too busy talking to each other. Food came quick but do not even the salad they provided for you! They dump everything that’s left over from previous customers and serve it to you! If they gave it to you and you told them to take it back they gave it to the next customer and did not throw it out! The meat wasn’t bad but the noodle had no taste! I hated the meat sauce that comes with it!
