Olde City Cheesesteaks & Brew — Restaurant in New York

9/27/25 finally made it back here! I met my cousin, it was packed but got lucky and found two seats at the bar. Karen was our BT, she was rockin' ! I got a cheese steak with provolone and onions. It was really good, just like last time. Got the beer & a shot special for $10 a good deal! You should get it. Just get it and stop thinking about it. 🤣

7/22/23 first time here. Cool spot, reviews said the cheese steak was good, so that's what i got, my regular order when I'm in Philly: steak w/provolone & broccoli rabe & grilled onions. Yeah it was really good! Bread was perfect as was the distribution of cheese in the entire sandwich.

Good beer selections and great Happy hours: 7 days/ 11a-8p and 11p to close.

Absolutely appalled by the treatment I received here today. I have a service animal for a mental disability, and they refused to accommodate us, citing an illegal policy. They then tried to move me to a separate, "designated" area, which is a blatant violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Not only is this illegal, but it was incredibly embarrassing and made me feel singled out and unwelcome. A service animal is not a pet, and your staff needs to be trained on the law. Pleasantly surprised that the food was good!! Was in between appointments and had just enough time for lunch. Had their Smashburger and fries. Was not expecting two (not thin) patties. I love burgers, but most times, it's dry and even has that stale flavor, but this was meaty, juicy and didn't taste like pre-prepared frozen patties.
