I ordered my wedding cake from padoca. When I initially came in about a month ago, Sandra helped me and she was absolutely lovely. I let her know I would be bringing my own ā€˜just married’ stencil, which she said was not a problem. On August 29th at 3:30PM (just over a week before the wedding) I dropped off the stencil. The person working the counter assured me he would let the owner know. Me being slightly paranoid - I made sure he wrote the order number, my name, and the date and time of pick up on the stencil box. A few days prior to the wedding some things had moved around in our wedding day schedule and we needed to pick up at 8am instead of the initial 10am I had quoted. I tried to find a phone number for the bakery to make sure this is not a problem. I was disappointed to see that there was no way to reach them by phone. This is not ideal for a business. I sent an email and they ok’d it and said they would make a note. Fast forward to my wedding morning, I received a notification at around 7:55am that it was ready for pick up. My friend went to the bakery to pick up the cake. There was no stencil on it and they had no idea what she was talking about. They told her it wasn’t ready for pick up. She also let me know the person she was dealing with was quite rude. She had to leave and come back after a few hours once they had finally located the stencil. This added immense stress to an already stressful morning. I bought this cake specifically for our wedding shoot and now I was worried it wasn’t going to make it. The lack of organization especially for something so important was unacceptable. With that said, the cake itself was delicious. Sandra was also very kind and helpful, she recommended the vanilla with dulce de leche and it was divine.

They offer a delicious bread called pao de queijo, PDQ for short (pictured). It was delicious, addictively so, with a cheese flavor. This Brazilian bakery makes some very good Brigadeiro (pictured). They offer five different flavors, including chocolate and guava. Of the four flavors that I tasted, I liked the coconut and the tre leche flavored ones best. The apricot/cherry scone that I had was mild in flavor compared to other scones that I have had elsewhere. I would not order one again because I like strong flavored pastry. That scone had little fruit flavor to it. The coconut macaroon was too chewy, probably because it was so tall, not like those thin ones seen in French bakeries. Its coconut flavor was good, but could be better, and I was disappointed with it as a result of its chewiness. Their apple pop tart pastry had little flavor as well as the apple filling within it.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with this bakery. I ordered a cake for a very special occasion and provided clear instructions along with a reference image for how I wanted it to look. Unfortunately, what I received was a far cry from what was promised. The design lacked the details and colors I requested, and instead of the elegant and detailed cake I envisioned, I received something that looked hastily put together and cheap.

When I reached out to express my concerns, the response I received was dismissive and unapologetic. The excuse given was that the cake I had referenced was smaller than the size I ordered, which has no relevance to the fact that the colors, piping, and overall execution did not match my instructions. It was clear they did not take the time or effort to ensure the order was executed properly, despite the importance of this occasion.

What is worse, instead of offering any meaningful resolution or compensation, I was left feeling as though my concerns were not taken seriously. This is not only poor customer service but also unacceptable for a business that is supposed to make celebrations special.

I would not recommend this bakery to anyone looking for quality, attention to detail, or professionalism. This experience has left me heartbroken, and I will definitely not be using their...

Got here around 4:45. Asked them for the ghost latte that’s been viral and they said sorry we don’t make espresso drinks after after 4:45 because it delays our closing time.. first of all I got there just in time and I tried to call them before hand but they have no number online which is unprofessional and then on the menu it said they turn any iced drink into a ghost latte and then I said okay ill do another iced drink if you can make that into a ghost latte and I chose the cold brew and she said no we can’t. He was making a ghost drink while I was standing there for another customer too but for some reason they couldn’t make me one… they didn’t deserve my business but I still got the cold brew anyways because I drove one hour for this bakery. Couldn’t even accommodate me. The cold brew was also disgusting, he literally threw cold brew and barely any milk. Never again. All this is for looks tasteless drinks...
