Have loved Patsy's Pizza in the many incarnations/locations over the decades. Tonight was a disaster. The pizza was dropped by the delivery person, I am assuming, because all of the toppings were at the back of the box and grease was dripping from the back of the box in to the floor. Delivery person said it wasn't dropped. The pizza was cold, and the delivery person brought it to the floor with just the box and his bike helmet in hand - no insulated bag. When I say cold, I mean the pizza was cold to the touch, as if it had been in the fridge. The pepperoni, onions, basil, and black olives were *uncooked.* This pizza was slightly done on the bottom of th crust. *NOTHING* on the top of the pizza was heated in any way. Pepperoni and onions looked as if they had just been cut - no charring or caramelization. I tried calling the restaurant first - the E.60th St location. The person who answered argued with me, telling me the pizza had just gotten out of the oven at 7:30, and it was 7:45. The pizza was not cooked, so maybe it was put in and then taken right back out? I ordered it as a scheduled delivery as a gift for a friend I was coming to see, and the order was there 3 hours ahead of time, so if they ran out of time to cook the pizza, it wasn't because it was ordered late. The person on the phone also argued with me that 1. He seemed like he didn't know what Uber Eats was, 2. He couldn't locate the order by either my phone number or my friend's phone number (Uber Eats had both numbers,) 3. He finally seemed to find the order, even though he said he still couldn't find it, because he called me by name, and 4. He argued with me about the size of pizza I ordered. He insisted I ordered a 13" pie when the receipt clearly stated a 17" pie (as well as the $40+ pricetag.) He offered to send me a 13" pie but not a 17" one. I told him I would deal with it through Uber Eats. Uber Eats has processed a refund, which will show up sometime in the next 3 or 4 days. We have no dinner now. I would never order from this location of Patsy's Pizza again. Over $40 being held on my credit card until the refund is processed, and nothing to eat now. What was supposed to be a couple of friends having dinner ended up being a cluster-f#$k. Just order from somewhere else.

Update 7/1/2024 Place has gone waaaay downhill. Food was over salted to death. Service was terrible. Manager on duty should probably step down. They forgot my food, when it came it was wrong. The manager sent it back without a word of apology, seemed annoyed to do it. They forgot my food again. Asked for a knife to cut my chicken since the butter knife couldn't do it (chicken was dry and hard as a rock) they didn't understand and brought me another butter knife (which is fine, but if you don't understand English, don't just look at patrons and nod your head as they talk, excuse yourself and get someone that does). Overall a super frustrating experience. Bill came, $90 for a large cheese pie, salad with chicken and a chicken parm lunch. After the issues, the manager should have at the least said I'm sorry or comped something, even the 3 dollar uncharged for changing the type of sauce I wanted on the chicken parm or offer to get us a drink on the house. Garbage service, really turned me off. I've been going here for years without issue, but this visit really soured me on the place. The pizza, while good, is in competition with all other pizza places in NYC. Below is my original review from a few years ago. The comparison from then to now was disappointing. Be better Patsy's. Original review: This place wins the pizza competition. All other places and close up shop and stop trying to out do each other, the game is over. Let's start from the ground up. The dough is crusty and delicious, cooked crispy and dark in spots but no burnt places. The sauce is the best I have had to date. The smell is only second to the taste. Finally the mozzarella. I have never had mozzarella made so perfectly. Not watery and ultimately stretchy and delicious. Please, if you haven't been, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Patsy's Pizzeria, an institution in the tapestry of New York's culinary scene, offers an authentic slice of the city's storied pizza heritage. With an ambiance that harkens back to the timeless charm of Old New York, Patsy's provides a crust that crackles with history in every bite. The pizza, a harmonious blend of charred edges and robust sauce, speaks to the soul of those who seek the comfort of traditional flavors. A four-star pie, indeed, that tantalizingly flirts with perfection, but leaves just enough room for the imagination on what a celestial fifth star could taste like. However, during the hustle of peak hours, one might find themselves adrift in the sea of bustling tables, the staff navigating the tides of an overfilled room. It's a place where patience must be a virtue, service a casualty to success. Your glass may remain half-empty, a silent plea for attention amidst the clamor. Despite this, Patsy's remains a stalwart, a testament to the enduring love affair between New Yorkers and their pizza. A three-star experience not because of culinary shortcomings, but because even the warmest of ovens can't always extend their heat to the touch of human service.

Racist at BEST - the older gentleman wearing a grey pants and white shirt.

I have worked in NYC for over 30 years and held senior management positions for a greater number of those years and I have treated my staff to many pizza parties that was ordered from Patsy's Pizzeria uptown location. We were repeat patrons and loved this pizza very much.

I have introduced my family to their pizza and would often take it home for dinner many nights. Today, my daughter and I were in the city and a bit extra early for a drs appointment in the area of this 60th street location so we decided to grab something to eat.

Their website clearly stated that they open at 1130am. We showed up 11:37am, the doors were wide opened, and the side walk tables were out and set. When we walked in, the older gentleman wearing a grey pants and white shirt, in the most untactful and unpleasant tone, told us they open at 12noon. We were like, okay, no problem, we'll come back. In retrospect, we shouldn't have.

When we returned, we chose a table outside, we were the second set of patrons seated, the place was not busy at that time. That man kept looking at us in the most unwelcoming way as though he didn't want us there. I had my sunglasses on so he probably felt I was not noticing him.

Anyways, the server came out took our order and eventually brought our food which was mediocre. While we were sitting there eating other patrons showed up and were seated at tables next to us and that man went to every table making small talk and checking in on those patrons and never came to our table check on us. Even while we were paying the bill the man kept staring. His actions and attitude were glaring and blatant and racist. We would never ever...
