Pixie Scout Canteen — Restaurant in New York

We happened to be at the Battery and wanted coffee and snacks and decided to have bagels. It's certainly not cheap but it was convenient, and we resigned ourselves to paying a lot for only adequate refreshment. But we were actually really surprised by just how good both the coffee and bagels were! (And we've lived in NYC—we know that it's very possible to get very bad coffee and bagels there!) Service was about as good as it could be given that there was only one server on when we came, and she was dealing with several customers; she dealt with being a little pressured very well (and she was joined by someone else soon after). But it was the quality of the coffee and bagels that really bowled us over. Better than they had any business being from a random little...

I was excited to check out this little spot bc it’s so convenient for bike rides through Battery. The morning I went, the baristas were…nice…but very disinterested and also somewhat rude, and they had quickly sold out of cold brew, but accommodated with an iced Americano. I asked for almond milk; the barista forgot so I had to ask again. Overall it was good coffee and the location can’t be beat, but it’s unfortunately your only outdoor coffee/snack option in the area.

My wife and I got drip coffee and a latte here, the staff were friendly and chatty, they were personable and still got us our drinks quickly. Can't comment on the food as we did not get any. The atmosphere of the area is beautiful and we'll located but is obviously seasonal and...
