They have a big, long haired dog in the kitchen where they make juice and bake things. It seemed the employees, 3 ladies in the back don't care about having a dog there as they pet while they make food. I don't think it's safe to eat there.
Update: Wow it's so creepy that they searched my name, and found out my occupation, and they assumed that I should love having animals in the kitchen because of my jobs?! Lol. One time, I saw a guy in the kitchen at a local cafe in CA that had a parrot on his shoulder while he was preparing sandwiches. It was disgusting because birds could poop and spread germs over the food, and I didn't want to get that food. So I left the cafe immediately. I know that getting "service dog" certificate in US is pretty easy, even though people think bringing "service dog" into major supermarkets like T J's is ok, no they're not allowed unless the dogs guide disabled people. Please look up the laws. My point is, why does a "service dog" have to stay in the kitchen where you prep food that is smaller than my...
Read moreWe ordered CAPPUCCINOS. The first red flag should’ve been when we were asked “small medium or large”. A “cappuccino” by definition is always small, with a defined proportion of milk to foam to coffee. That is what makes it a CAPPUCCINO. I realize Starbucks feels otherwise but Pueblo Querido is meant to be a specialized “coffee shop” so they should know better. Anyway, we said “small”. The barista presented us with two 12-ounce lattes — full cups of milk, barely any foam. We asked whether these were indeed small, having seen the smaller size cups on the bar. We were informed that the smaller cups were for cortados only. So we said, could you please remake - or give us cortados, as what you’ve served us are actually lattes? At that point, both the barista and cashier became very rude and said that those were cappuccinos and that’s that. We left them on the counter, made peace with our wasted $11, and will...
Read moreI really wanted to get some food and a drink here this afternoon. I went around 3:50 pm and asked the cashier what food they recommended. They told me the kitchen was closed, and I said “oh of course, you’re closing early because of the holiday?” They just looked at me so I said “sorry, thank you so much!” And went down the street to Paloma coffee instead. On the way back to the train, I passed Pueblo Querido again around 4:30pm and saw a couple eating food inside and a man on his laptop drinking a coffee. I’m really sad I wasn’t served because I really wanted to see what all the great reviews were about. It hurt seeing other people eating when I was told the kitchen was closed and the entire cafe would be...
