I went for a pedicure and gel-x nail extensions for my best friends wedding. It was the worst nail experience I have ever had. There is another review from 3 years ago that describes the exact same problem that I had. A woman did my nails at the pedicure chair with a small UV light balanced on a role of toilet paper with a towel over it. She applied way too much gel that was seeping out into my cuticles. And under my nails essentially gluing the fake nails to my skin. They were so lumpy and uneven, after two hours there, they were still trying to remove the gel from under my nails. They then tried to gaslight me into saying it was fine. A younger coworker of theirs came to the table to back me up and say all the nails needed to come off. There was way too much gel and huge bubbles that left spaces under my nails (which can get wet and cause infection). I left and only paid for the pedicure. I came back later to have them removed which they did for free, however they were rough with the removal as well. My fingers literally hurt when I left. I had them paint a coat of nail hardener as my nails were red and thin.
I wasn’t going to leave a bad review but seeing that they did this three years ago and are still doing this was disappointing. Please learn how to do gel x or STOP OFFERING THE SERVICE. You are damaging nails and causing infections.
Now my nails are too thin and damaged to get done before the wedding. Going to have short bare nails or press one as the...
Read moreHad a horrible experience here and won't be back. I've come multiple times and had fine service but today I went in for a Gel-X soak off and it took nearly TWO HOURS. I was shuffled between multiple techs but the majority was done by the owner/manager (?) who didn't seem to know what she was doing and cut me multiple times with the dremel and used her own nails (instead of tools) to pick at my nails. After she wasn't able to finish the job, she handed me off to Juddy who finished removing them but was extremely rude and repeatedly shook my entire arm to make a point about how my hand needed to relax even though I was very much doing all I could to keep my hand relaxed. She also didn't cut my cuticles and I didn't get a polish so I was surprised when the manager rang me up and my total was $49!!!!!! For a soak off and a "manicure" even though I very much did not get the latter. She also pointed at their Venmo insisting I tip. I will never be back here which is a shame because other techs seem really sweet but I also witnessed someone walk out as they had an appointment at 2pm and still hadn't been seen by 3pm. There are plenty of other salons in the area so take your...
Read moreThe pedicure I received from a young Hispanic woman was flawless. Unfortunately, I also decided to get UV extensions. The woman that was responsible for that manicure started applying the tips while I was still sitting at the pedicure station. She balanced the UV machine on the armrest and didn’t seem to pay much attention to how long my nails were under the light or how much gel she was applying. Once at the manicure station, she rushed through the job, and by the time she was finished my nails resembled the bride of Frankenstein. They were lumpy, uneven, and misshapen. They started chipping badly after about 2 days. I went to a different nail salon recommended by a friend to have them fixed. While the woman at the new salon was removing this mess, she discovered that layers of UV gel under the layer of polish were still wet. On every single nail. I was shocked, that could have led to a fungal infection among other problems. I paid $100 plus tip for these awful nails, and had to spend almost the same amount to fix them. My friend that came with me had the same issue and had to have hers removed and replaced as well....
